You can say what you want, but unlike the guy you're defending if one of his teammates says something he's not going to be on the verge of assaulting him. Also, you spent years defending Randle after he played far worse than Brunson ever has, I don't think I ever saw you criticize him. You're like the lawyer that defends the murderer but wants to prosecute the thief, be better rob.
What if it was Carmelo Anthony then? People are afraid to criticize this man. It never had to be done with Randle because he was always viscerally hated even when playing well
What if? That's a pretty cool TV series, sorry I already watched it. Nobody is afraid to criticize him, we just know he's capable of more and he'll self-correct without threatening assistant coaches.

You don't build teams based around 1 month.
The Heat has been to two finals with their same core. So I guess Pat and Heat fans disagree with you.

Dyson Daniels has been a tough matchup for Brunson this year in Atlanta and last year in New Orleans. One of my biggest concerns about this team in the postseason is running into a high level perimeter defender with length to slow down Brunson. I don't think we have really seen him against a defender as good as Daniels in the postseason since he has arrived in New York.

I don't want to capitulate on a player who's currently injured, but expecting Mitch back to "save our defense" would be a disservice.
-Knicks brought in OG and Bridges to be the top tier perimeter defenders, and only 1 of them has lived up to that billing.
-Never play drop coverage with KAT at the 5 when a PG has a float game.
-Knicks don't have the depth at the bench like last season (basically, I would play more Hukporti and Dadiet, but I'm not a coach that doesn't give rookies a chance)
I am not saying we have to capitulate but it is still what it is. KaT is very much a Pau Gasol player. The lakers don’t make those great Championship runs if they don’t have Andrew Bynum to put Gasol at PF. I think KaT is a better defender than Pau, but you said it yourself we can’t run drop coverage with KaT on PG’s like Trae, Kyrie, and Donovan Mitchell, but drop coverage is exactly how you stop players like them or at the very least give them a hard time.
If anything be thankful Mitch is on the team healing because if he was not they would have to figure out how to get a player like him. Sims is a great third center but Mitch is dominant as a defensive center and as an offensive rebounder. That’s is exactly what they needed to win this game.
If Mitch comes back healthy talent wise they can win a chip, it’s take luck and hard work but there wouldn’t be a whole on the roster and they would have the right talent in its prime.
I can guarantee if prime Pau played in today's NBA, he would also get eaten alive by today's PGs.
Drop only works if your center can deter dribble penetration while walling off the rolling center. KAT's not quick enough for those coverages.
I agree, fully and I think KaT is a better defender than Pau was in general, but like you said he can’t do drop coverage. Meanwhile Mitch is a top tier drop coverage defender and offensive rebounder. A lot of our losses against the good teams he would have helped a lot.
That’s why I don’t take these losses to much to heart. We have a weakness being exploited but the solution is already on the roster.
Also it shouldn’t take to long to for Mitch and KaT to figure out how to play together, KaT has experience in a similar role playing next to Gobert, and we would be asking Mitch to do the same stuff essentially

The PG that helped them get to the finals left, just like IHart left. Riley is about to trade Jimmy for a McDonalds happy meal too.

Lowry wasn't part of that core. Their core is Butler, Herro, Bam. They made the finals twice with that core, with two different PGs. They didn't break up that core after 1 month like we did. They stuck with it for years. We should've gave it a shot for at least another season before potentially breaking it up. That was the most dominant basketball we played in a decade. This team isn't even close to that level. We're stuck in treadmill territory.

People are afraid to criticize Brunson? Thats an insane take. He was criticized the first two games against Philly and then he dropped 40 in like 4 consecutive playoff games. He was criticized for how poorly he started this year and now he’s averaging 25 points 7.5 assists on 43% from three. Like maybe people don’t want to criticize him bc he’s been good 95% of the time?

Brunson had a bad game but that doesn’t mean he should be burned at the stake. It’s not hard to figure out why he is beloved and deserves the praise. He will hold himself accountable so not even worried about this one. But yea, he still gets critized when he plays bad, just don’t have to go crazy with ut

I'm not the one that supports the multi-millionaire going after a co-worker that makes far less than him and has less job security. You're the class traitor sticking up for the 1%, I didn't know this about you rob, pretty sad to see.

We will beat Orlando Sunday and move into 3rd place and all will be well. Let's not forget the bigger picture we are trying to win the Larry O'Brien trophy not the Emirates trophy.

The thing is that Trae didn’t have to worry about scoring on anyone. If it’s not a favorable matchup he gets screens and more screens and more screens until he can get an easy floater. We just don’t do that enough.

I didn't say anything about Lowry
Building around 1 month, the Sixers were net 3 last year right before the playoffs, we beat them. That's to say, net rating for 1 month is really irrelevant, especially with how bad Randle has been in the playoffs, you don't run that back when the C that was partially responsible for it is gone.
