I am partly guilty as well but, Thibs is the actual problem here. That's my only concern with this team. The stubborn orc faced penguin looking motherfugger!
I get this, but it seemed like they had maybe figured it out. After a few ugly losses, it feels different. Championship contenders are supposed to take care of business and rarely have stretches of multiple games where they're very suspect and show potentially fatal flaws against subpar teams.
It's still early and we haven't been "full strength" at all until the last two games. Two of Payne/Deuce/Precious have been out of the lineup much of the season. They were cruising on offense for a minute but, the defense and the rotations have been weak to bad all year. That is not all on Thibs but, a lot of it is. The talent was driving the offense. Not the coaching or the system.
I am not concerned with the roster as much as the coaching but, we need to solidify our depth and go from there. Thibs can't win without his rim protector at the 5. That's the concern and the biggest hurdle until we get Mitch and/or another rim protector center to let Thibs do his thing.
Losing Shart hurt the coach and not having Mitch healthy is making it worse. The injuries to the bench are the other issue. Trade season could not get here fast enough. I love all the mid season trades we have made and the team has gone on runs evey single time we make one. Hopefully Leon can work his magic in the next 7 weeks. The sooner the better. We need more than what we have. Trusting Mitch would be the biggest risk and possibly the biggest mistake we make this year outside of Thibs horrible coaching.
