Id rather have 3 bites at the apple instead of one given our roster status. Draft picks are the Celtics only way of adding cheap, cost controlled talent. They have to find a way to develop more rotation guys in the future. Not saying they haven’t, but that success needs to continue given the second apron rules. Long story short: more picks the better

I always "know" that in my head, but then get excited about trading up anyways, lol. But, you can't really get high enough with our current collection to really jump a tier in quality. If you can really get mid-teens, maybe. But beyond that, yeah, take more shots.

There would have to be a big time slider like Rob Williams or Cam Whitmore for me to really consider it. A guy who was basically a lock to go lottery starting to fall into the late teens. Don’t have anyone in mind in particular at this juncture but you never know what can happen

A better player is highly debatable. And even if that is what you would base your argument on my argument is all things combined such as financial and better fit.

It’s actually not.

It’s absurd we’re even having to his discussion.

Yep, I thought this nonsense would end when Cave left the board.

So your back to posting your 2 per year,, say nothing but some low intellectual commentary. Not on Boston but rather another poster. Stay in the shadows.. Coming out only reveals your low-level intellect. But I guess this is what I should expect from someone who thought Brandon Boston JR would be better than Nesmith :o

Oh the irony of questioning someone’s intelligence after just suggesting the front office should trade Brown for Markkanen

What's the nonsense I read on Facebook about the Celtics being favourites for Ben Simmons if he is bought out by the Nets ?

Wouldn't be against it personally but surely we can't fit him under the cap

I already admonished you guys to cut it out, about an hour ago.

Ignore. Betting sites aren’t particularly well-versed in the new apron rules.

Why do you bother even posting on here? You offer no opinions no insight, just just one line criticisms of posters. It's like you lurk in the shadows where it is safe. Come out of dark for an occasional snippet. And then you return to your shadows, lurking.

Oh yes because your constant whining of Joe & nonsensical trade ideas are so damn insightful aren’t they ?

Simmons makes $40.34 this season. So we need a higher outgoing salary in a legal trade -- that's either JT or JB. Not happening.
If Simmons is waived, he is eligible to be signed to the minimum in-season but not by above-apron teams since he was previously making a salary above the non-tax MLE.

Not a betting guy but they prob like being able to pull that off offering that bet, right?

If I really think about it, that shouldn’t even be allowed. It’s basically stealing money from dumb people.

It can’t even be JT because he’s ineligible to be traded this year after signing supermax. (Not that we ever would, I’m just saying it’s not even theoretically possible under the rules.)

We could only acquire Ben Simmons by trading Jaylen Brown for him. Which is as 0% probability as any trade imaginable. And, like you said, if Simmons is waived we can’t get him as a buyout because of 2nd apron rules. Whoever is betting this is truly throwing their cash away…
