There were 3 KAT post trade threads, nothing is coming close to that anytime soon. Lots of farewell posts, bannings, someone going to prison and casualties came from that. Lines were drawn in the sand that can't be undone, it was pretty obvious people wanted the trade to fail so they can push narratives.

Well is one of those things where they’ll wait until we don’t win the championship to come back and do victory laps(because their favorite team lost lol) so it’s never really settled unless we win the championship. There will be some quiet times along the way though.

They're waiting in the shadows. kat fcks up in the playoffs and this thread will look like a bedbug infestation.

Which is honestly sad. Cause this is a fun time to be a Knicks fan and we honestly haven't got to experience many fun times as Knicks fans.

sham is the funniest, cause he pops in when we lose a random game and we all know he's just waiting to see if Mitch is traded or not. If Mitch is still a Knick post trade deadline he'll miraculously make bail and return.

That's risky cause if mitch is still here post trade that gives sham 3 to 4 weeks of posting at most before mitch goes back on IR with a leg injury.

Those were some dark times. But kinda funny looking back on it. Knicks pull some shady, backhand stuff to pull Brown away from Detroit after he nearly went back to back. They're like "Larry here's a ton of money. We'll do anything for you! Make us good again." And he's like "Cool. Trade Marbury and fire Isiah and make me GM." And they're like "no." And he's like:

Yeah Larry Brown gave us the biggest FU...they brought him and paid him a ton so he thought he was going to get ultimate say. Finds out he didn't get his way and basically trolled the team and fan base until they fired him.

To be slightly fair to us, Brown proceeded to do the same thing at every stop he's had since hoodwinking the Knicks.

Nope, this thread is still missing a certain element that it was created for and I blame the mods for their premature warnings that may have possibly prevented the thread from seeing its full potential. This is the fight thread. WHERE ARE THE FIGHTS!!!!!

Constant bickering across the board for years just to come here and see everyone agreeing that they are glad Randle is gone?????
I'm disappointed.

lol. give it time. the dumpster fire doesn't start out a dumpster fire.

it builds up like a knicks season.

I dunno. He did alright with the Bobcats and SMU. Until he didn't. We were a special case.

i find this take so weird about players who take less than max money out of the kindness of the hearts. even if the player is flawed, dudes really leave money on the table on purpose and get talked about like this.

randle and melo aren't the same level of player. but they both did that. i don't think it was unreasonable to want his max after taking a team-friendly deal prior.

I don't support blaming players for taking the money they can get. It's a business, and workers shouldn't be expected to take less money than they are offered. Any moralistic stance on it is BS in my view.

That's why I also hate how some (very few) fans blamed OG for signing a big contract.

The people who should be held accountable are the FOs who manage the books and build the rosters.

Phil Jackson is the one who did us dirty with the NTC. He could have had the foresight to let him go if the NTC was such a deal-breaker for Melo. Giving him that power was a stupid executive decision. But Melo had every right to exercise it once given.

Main one that gets me is Hartenstein. People think he should have taken a 50% annual pay cut to stay here. I’m sure he liked playing here but nobody should reasonably expected to walk away from that kind of money. Plus his new team is also good so it’s not like he took the money from some losing organization just to get paid and not compete

right? tf? it's a great opportunity and he earned it. bet on himself.
