There were 3 KAT post trade threads, nothing is coming close to that anytime soon. Lots of farewell posts, bannings, someone going to prison and casualties came from that. Lines were drawn in the sand that can't be undone, it was pretty obvious people wanted the trade to fail so they can push narratives.

Well is one of those things where they’ll wait until we don’t win the championship to come back and do victory laps(because their favorite team lost lol) so it’s never really settled unless we win the championship. There will be some quiet times along the way though.

i find this take so weird about players who take less than max money out of the kindness of the hearts. even if the player is flawed, dudes really leave money on the table on purpose and get talked about like this.

randle and melo aren't the same level of player. but they both did that. i don't think it was unreasonable to want his max after taking a team-friendly deal prior.

I don't support blaming players for taking the money they can get. It's a business, and workers shouldn't be expected to take less money than they are offered. Any moralistic stance on it is BS in my view.

That's why I also hate how some (very few) fans blamed OG for signing a big contract.

The people who should be held accountable are the FOs who manage the books and build the rosters.

Phil Jackson is the one who did us dirty with the NTC. He could have had the foresight to let him go if the NTC was such a deal-breaker for Melo. Giving him that power was a stupid executive decision. But Melo had every right to exercise it once given.

Main one that gets me is Hartenstein. People think he should have taken a 50% annual pay cut to stay here. I’m sure he liked playing here but nobody should reasonably expected to walk away from that kind of money. Plus his new team is also good so it’s not like he took the money from some losing organization just to get paid and not compete
