Milwaukee came out of no where for “Miami Only” Dame. Not one insider mentioned the 3 way trade that included Bucks and Boston. I’m looking at the Spurs and Rockets having all the requirements to really get something done.
The Spurs aren't on the clock, Golden State is so maybe something comes from that. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Butler isn't traded and Miami offers a much smaller extension so they can say they tried so don't be mad at us and ultimately want/let him walk to get them under the tax.
Why would the owner want to continue not only paying the tax on this team but also the repeater tax while teams who aren't in the tax are also getting 14-20 million dollar checks from the teams that are in the tax? I'd just keep in mind that it's highly expected the payroll for this team will be reduced a solid amount for the next couple years, even with the cap going up ~10% (12-16 mil) each year.
