In 2024, Shaq would've made a step back 3. While Bynum would've clapped back with a step back logo three. And the moment would've been forgotten in history with the total of 70 combined threes taken in that game. The death of the traditional big man, and turning everyone into jumpshooting made the predictable nature of the current game even worse.

Some of the most memorable games Ive watched in person involved the traditional C dominating. Watched the Kings in the Cousins era, and boy even though the Raptors lost, I left impressed and blown away with how dominant he was. The JV and Hassan Whiteside back and forth in the 2015 playoffs. Cousins is only in his early 30s, and is not in the NBA. Antonio Davis leading the raptors to the playoffs in 2002. Dwight Howard dominating. Z-Bo/Gasol era. Etc.

I don't watch much football, but this would be the equivalent of allowing DTs to play like WRs and RBs. Sounds entertaining at first but the game becomes meaningless without the structure it was created with. The true obese DT becomes phased out for a 5'8 170 pound shrimp. You don't want it to become arena football.

The NBA has become 2K on rookie mode.

lmao look at that energy. can only dream of that type of competitiveness in todays clown show.

I understand they need to likely suspend Marshall as well, but it's wrong. What else are you supposed to do when another man bitch slaps you?

I dont think it's really that arguable. ofc Kobe didnt have generational talent...that kind of thing is reserved for the MJ's, Shaq's, Lebron. even a guy like KD is a generational talent in a way Kobe isnt (doesnt mean he's a bigger winner, just a bigger talent)

I googled where does KB rank all time. SLAM list had him 4, another 5, others top 20. 4th leading points scorer all time. To me that's generational.

But generational talent is a made up, subjective term. Silly to argue about it as if it's a cut and dried factual thing.

Generational talents dont fall in the draft. Kobe did a lot with what he was given, but generational talent means a guy like Wemby. everyone knows he's special right away

Kobe didn't fall, he told teams he was playing for the lakers and if they drafted him, he wouldn't report. This is pretty common knowledge.

That said, I don't consider Kobe generational.

Then laugh at the other guy getting ejected lol

All that said, responding to a weak face push with a punch is probably going to get him penalized more than Nurk.

Yeah, being the initiator has to count for something. What I understood even less is them ejecting PJ Washington along with those two. WTF did he do to deserve it? I see he exchanged some words with Nurkic but last I checked, you get a tech for that. Not full ejection. NBA reffing is really whack.

Right, I rewatched and saw that. Though, one could argue it was more to separate the guy who initiated it with the slap from his temmate. But I guess they weren't having that after punch was thrown. If I'm Mavs, I would be upset and protest if they suspend Washington for this.
