All Hornets fans who wrote his obituary should feel relieved about being wrong. But somehow the need to be right, erases any sense of relief or satisfaction.
I’m thrilled Mark is looking good and playing starter level minutes. I honestly feared he might never be healthy enough to play again with any regularity. That I blame on the organization being so secretive on his progress, or lack of details shared with the fans.
As Hornets fans, a lot of what we have in our bank is HOPE. Some weeks that’s literally all we have. To continue being a Hornet’s fan requires even more than hope. If I wasn’t there as part of the first hint of having a team in Charlotte, then the actual awarding of the franchise, the early stages of development, expansion draft, first games, in the Coliseum for the huge holiday upset win over MJ and the Bulls…not sure I’d have stuck around. But here I am, sometimes full of piss and vinegar, but a true Hornets fan, clinging to HOPE. Maybe next year it starts to come together….

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
