GS out: Wiggins, Kuminga, and expiring filler
GS in: Butler
Cavs out: LeVert (expiring) and Okoro (or Strus)
Cavs in: Wiggins
Heat out: Butler
Heat in: Kuminga, LeVert, and Okoro plus expiring filler from GS.
Why for the GS. Get Butler for at least two more post season runs with Curry.
Why for the Cavs. consolidate two good role players into one.
Why for Miami. Land Kuminga, keep the books clear, and LeVert & Okoro help ensure they make the playoffs so they convey that pick to OKC this season.

Heat and GS with the Cavs

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Re: Heat and GS with the Cavs
Think the Wiggins and Kuminga for Butler boat has sailed. Front office was shaky on having to move one, much less both.
Likely will go looking in the 20+ mil trade bin (Cam Johnson, Vucevic, Kuzma, etc.) for deals where they don’t have to trade either one.

Feel like they can do better for Wiggins elsewhere

Agreed. I would guess expiring deals and a protected first from a good team.
We'd probably also want to flip Kuminga, too. Find value because I don't see us paying him what he wants.

There aren't that many expiring contracts out there. The Raptors have Brown and Boucher but I'm a little skeptical they add a first or that either guy helps the Heat convey that pick.

The Warriors could probably hold back Kuminga and send Miami draft capital.

Probably not expiring as matching but they can get 2 yr bad contracts and a pick whicj is still preferred over OP probably? Something like huerter+ from kings or collins+ from SAS

I think I'd do the Cavs end with Levert and Okoro. I'd keep Strus around.

I'm just going by what the Heat are putting out there. They want expiring contracts. They want to make the playoffs and convey that pick to OKC so it doesn't convert to an unprotected 1st in 2026. Might they bend a little? I guess, but only after they can't find what they want. I personally think that Collins, Johnson and a first is a nuetral value package.
