Hard to see a team that would want to inherit Beal on that NTC. PHX might be stuck here.

Wade, Shaq and Jimmy are all at around the same age and contract situation as to when things turned sour. All wanted final, legacy paydays that take them through their late thirties. Wade had taken unders, so it’s fair that he wanted some degree of return later on. That wasn’t the case with Shaq or Jimmy, who were paid max dollars and were more than fairly compensated. Availability also became an issue for all three of them too, which is an issue that wouldn’t improve with age.
Bron is the outlier, who left in his prime for other reasons. But it’s clear that management doesn’t want to pay max dollars to players in the twilight of their career.
One thing people ALWAYS neglect with Wade:
Dude didn't take a paycut out of the kindness of his heart. He wanted to win. And he won a **** ton. He took a paycut because HE valued winning over money. I don't understand why it gets framed like anything else. You aren't owed a legacy payday because you took a paycut in order to win

lol Clarke and Smart are not pieces you add to a team that's losing Jimmy Butler, in hopes of making a deep playoff run. Those are pieces you add to a core with Jimmy Butler staying.
That being said, adding Brandon Ingram to this core, along with a Zion, those are realistic pieces that can be had via a three way deal (or just straight up for Jimmy and Duncan) that really has a chance of allowing us to go on a deep run.
Literally just take the gamble on Zion. His contract is non guaranteed and we can let him go if it doesn’t work.

I'm dreaming of a trade where Beal goes to Brooklyn as tank commander. They have the cap to absorb him.
They take on 50M but shed 41M and still remain 3M under tax apron. They can sell merchandise and market around Beal as they do a total rebuild. Gotta pay someone anyway. They'd also get Suns 2031 FRP and 2026 SRP.
Heat get Cam Johnson and Bodganavic.
Suns get Jimmy Butler.
I think we'd have to include a young player or a draft pick as extra incentive to make the deal work for the Nets.
