Hard to see a team that would want to inherit Beal on that NTC. PHX might be stuck here.

Do they have any frp’s to sweeten the deal ?

Is Jamal Murray completely washed?

Only 27, although often injured.

Would he and a first rounder for Jimmy be acceptable to the fanbase?

Def need the Rox to make a run. Hardass coach. Defensive minded. Need a reliable anchor late in games.

Wade, Shaq and Jimmy are all at around the same age and contract situation as to when things turned sour. All wanted final, legacy paydays that take them through their late thirties. Wade had taken unders, so it’s fair that he wanted some degree of return later on. That wasn’t the case with Shaq or Jimmy, who were paid max dollars and were more than fairly compensated. Availability also became an issue for all three of them too, which is an issue that wouldn’t improve with age.

Bron is the outlier, who left in his prime for other reasons. But it’s clear that management doesn’t want to pay max dollars to players in the twilight of their career.

One thing people ALWAYS neglect with Wade:

Dude didn't take a paycut out of the kindness of his heart. He wanted to win. And he won a **** ton. He took a paycut because HE valued winning over money. I don't understand why it gets framed like anything else. You aren't owed a legacy payday because you took a paycut in order to win

Yup, and the word "paycut" sounds like he left a lot on the table. But really it was just salary maneuvering to keep key guys under the payroll. He got to stay home while LeBron and Bosh relocated. So it's natural he would take a slight more cut that those two who had to sell n buy new houses n relocate the whole family

I’m about to make a fake insider twitter and get a checkmark and just give out reports piggybacking off any news and odds movement in gambling for some easy bread

lol Clarke and Smart are not pieces you add to a team that's losing Jimmy Butler, in hopes of making a deep playoff run. Those are pieces you add to a core with Jimmy Butler staying.

That being said, adding Brandon Ingram to this core, along with a Zion, those are realistic pieces that can be had via a three way deal (or just straight up for Jimmy and Duncan) that really has a chance of allowing us to go on a deep run.

Literally just take the gamble on Zion. His contract is non guaranteed and we can let him go if it doesn’t work.

I feel like Zion will follow Dion's recipe. Buying into the culture n get in the best shape of his life to give us big hopes. Then get a fat long contract then get back to being a fat ass himself, lol

GET IT DONE PATRICK!!!

I'm dreaming of a trade where Beal goes to Brooklyn as tank commander. They have the cap to absorb him.
They take on 50M but shed 41M and still remain 3M under tax apron. They can sell merchandise and market around Beal as they do a total rebuild. Gotta pay someone anyway. They'd also get Suns 2031 FRP and 2026 SRP.

Heat get Cam Johnson and Bodganavic.

Suns get Jimmy Butler.

I think we'd have to include a young player or a draft pick as extra incentive to make the deal work for the Nets.

Why would Beal choose to leave a contender in PHX for a dud BKN team though? He controls his destiny.

What are folks thoughts on the following (assumes NOP would try to reroute Beal and picks are moved to make it happen)?

BK gets: Rozier
NOP gets: Beal
PHX gets: Butler
MIA gets: Cam Johnson, Ingram and Herb Jones

Rather we just play like we did last night for the next 50 games. Make the trades you have to to get picks back.

Gotta find that star to replace the one who is leaving.

Yeah, she's right, guys like j. B. are ego driven, 50 million reasons why he is gonna be an almost impossible trade

Jb is not opting Out so ...some team has to take it In the back And offer him an incredibly sweet deal for the next few years.

I don’t feel like making lottery this year and losing pick next year is a terrible deal.

Herro/Bam/whoever we get for Jimmy/Another offseason if the young guys/Duncan in a contract year/+ a lottery pick in a loaded class is not a bad idea.

Plus if we’re in the lottery it may not be overly expensive to move up if there’s a guy we love. We just have to nail the pick or we’re ****ed.

I dont See us taking though.

To Heat - Simmons, Cam Johnson, Bojan, 2026 Suns 1st (lowest of Phx, Was, Orl, Mem), 2031 Unprotected Suns 1st

To Suns - Jimmy, Terry, JRich

To Nets - Beal, Grayson Allen, Okogie, Highsmith

We get 2 picks out of it, 60M in expiring contracts and Cam Johnson (22.5 this year, 20.5M next year, 22.5M expiring in 26-27)
Suns get to start over, and get a more natural PG.
Nets are not a FA destination, and get a vet in Beal. This is type of deal nets tend to make.

We roll the rest of the way with'

Simmons/Burks
Herro/Duncan
Bojan/Jaime
Jovic/Cam
Bam/Ware

with room to maneuver this offseason
