re: Edgecombe, dude has been a monster defensively, over 5 steals and 2 blocks per 100 possessions, almost 11 BPM, +25 Net Rating, and actually has a pretty respectable 6.6 assists per 100 for what's supposed to be an off-ball court runner.

this is pretty clearly a good class. much *much* better than last years with better archetypes and better athletes and better players overall. so ranking Cooper #2 by default despite only capping him as a role player doesn't pass the smell test, sorry.

such nonsense. lol what does this even mean? Please enlighten us what constitutes archetype in your mind and who in 2025 fits and who in 2024 doesn't.

2024 has every archetype you can imagine. Shot blocking bigs, stretch bigs, athletic 3 and D wings, shooters, scorers, combo guards, lead guards.

I know you didn't think McCain was potentially a lead guard but when he started he put up 24/3/4 (39% from three) and proved he was before going down with injury. That's Maxey production, who most consider a lead guard. Do you expect much better from Harper as a rookie? Let me guess, you won't admit McCain fits in the lead guard archetype still. McCain is just one of many examples of you people being wrong about the 2024 class. I wish we could fast forward a few years because it's going to be fun calling everyone out on here.

Who is more likely to have a better run to the end the year? Flagg playing on Duke in the ACC tourney and March Madness or Harper playing on Rutgers?

I expect Flagg to get more wins, but Harper to be more individually impressive/dominant.

Rutgers team is garbage. Flagg will be playing for something. Harper will have good counting stats like Cam Thomas playing for the Nets. There's no real chance Harper overtakes Flagg. I think there's more intrigue about Harper or Bailey at #2

you've never litigated in the first place. That would require you substantiating your opinions which you refuse to do. I'm also not interested in anything but answers to what do you consider archetypes? Who in the 2025 class fits these archetypes? Who in the 2024 class doesn't? Just for once support your opinions? I won't even respond. Just want to know wtf you're talking about when you use the term archetype. Maybe if you actually explained yourself and it made sense I or others could agree or jump in and discuss. It's always pulling teeth with you followed by "dog" and memes

It's like this in most threads where early on, people take hardline stances, get entrenched, make bold proclamations, don't alter their views given new information, then disappear when they're looking to be wrong or it's crow eating time.

Cooper has a lot of haters in the closet.

The Duke hater, the 'other expected type' of hater are all out to get him.

To be clear, as a fan of a tanking team, I'm very happy to see Flagg making shots.

Flagg really coming on offensively. Maybe he's hot historically horrible after all LOL.

I have a sneaking suspicion he will be just fine.

the inefficient scoring and 3pt shooting has always been the elephant in the room - with him looking efficient scoring the basketball and continuing to be everything else he is and has been - while still taking into account his age, what he's done these last few games is pretty insane.

I recognize that the feel of their games is quite different, but is Deni Avdija a decent floor comp for Flagg? With Flagg being more athletic and a better defender, and Deni being a better shooter?

It’s hilarious how much you all are overindexing on his current 3pt %. LMAO

Hes been absolutely balling lately. He started the year off okay, but he looks like the clear cut #1 again. He keeps getting better game by game it's actually scary.

He's too smart, athletic, and skilled to be less than an allstar at the NBA level IMO. How good he becomes totally depends how far his jumper progresses.
