Why’s his form changing at 28 years old, should have been done years ago. He’s entering his prime

He's always had a weird form. He's always been a 37% career shooter from three. People talking about his form changing is just opinion.

it’s not, watch the games, from jumper to jumper his shot changes. there’s no real consistency

Also, people need to understand Leon is NOT FIRING thibs based on 5 games while the team sits 11 games over .500 and 3rd in the east. Also, if you think thibs and leon who have literally completely turned this franchise around don’t know this team needs more depth that you are being foolish. Let me remind everyone nobody is winning a title in january, the key is to be healthy and playing your best ball in may, whatever you do in January despite how much importance people want to put on last night will mean NOTHING when round 1 of playoffs begin. Have some patience, this was not going to be a cake walk, thibs and leon know/knew this. Stop with the overreactions

Tf? Have you done any research? A simple three minute google search would show you, this is exactly the time where Thibs was shown the door at both Chicago and minny because he did the same thing there. Run the starters ragged. This isn’t no sky is falling bullchit. I seriously wonder how fans like you can watch this team and say “Thibs gonna figure it out”
Lmao tf?????

In no way shape or form are these other scenarios similar, first neither the bulls nor the wolves were 11 games over at the 39 game mark with basically a brand new roster and 3rd in their conference, I don’t need google to tell me. This is a complete and ridiculous overreaction. The only way thibs gets fired will be at the end of the season if its an early playoff exit and it would still be in doubt.

1. Thibs is not the coach to take us to the promise land. We’ll learn that this season once and for all.

2. This team is going to struggle in January mostly due to fatigue and nagging injuries. The media will be circling like vultures.

3. KAT and Brunson can’t work in the long run due to defensive deficiencies unless Hart’s position is upgraded with a guy like 28 year old Draymond. Playmaking PF with elite defense. Those are hard to find.

Let me ask you this, honestly, is the depth of this roster as constituted good enough to win a ring? If you really believe this and the team not being a title contender is because of thibs and not because of the lack of depth you are misguided

I don’t have an obsession with one player or one coach. I have an obsession for the overall goal of winning a chip. No player or coach is above that. I root for the name on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back.

I, and countless posters beat the drum about firing Thibs. But the second you get called out for saying sga would indeed not look good in a Knicks uniform, because we would still have an orc for a coach, you turn back and say it’s my obsession with Thibs. Lmaooo you can put Giannis, Jokic and sga all on this squad and we would still lose if Thibs was the head coach. Go back to complaining about not having Randle, Melo.

You got a really weird obsession with Thibs. Can't even appreciate other players crafts without you turning it into some thibs bs. Quite the spin you did.

I have an unhealthy obsession with winning a ring. This is the best championship level squad I’ve seen 31 years of watching the Knicks. No other players would look good in a uniform because We can keep adding and still be unsuccessful with this coach. Trying to scapegoat me about Thibs, as if 90% of the board doesn’t want him fired. It’s not a spin, I’m not starphuqin other players, I roll with NY. I focus on what we have and coaching schemes to maximize what we have.

Your level of a coach is determined by what you can get out of your team. Thibs gets carried by the talent of his players. So go ahead, add the top 5 players in the league to the team, and when we continue to lose, you’d still end up looking at the next five players. Come on man.

Bruh I don’t even know what you ranting about. I just like SGA’s craft and how he approaches the game. This whole Thibs fiasco you turned it into is crazy man. You don’t enjoy watching other players? You only watch the Knicks?

We are going to have around a 4 year window with this core.

Thibs will not succeed unless we get him very specific parts including the elite rim protector.

Could a different coach have more success with the current personell? Very likely.

Yeah I mean he can get a bucket or set up a teammate whenever he wants. He is a super efficient scorer. And you saw last night he can switch onto brunson and gave him fits.

Complete player. Game is smooth as hell.

The current talent and depth is not good enough to win a ring though a better coach could get us much closer than Thibs can and you have to get close before you add a final piece or two to push you over the top (see Boston, MIL, etc).

Thibs was having KAT play SGA and JDub in drop coverage all game… think about that. KAT is at his worst at drop coverage and SGA/JDub love love love operating out of the mid range so we rolled out the red carpet to their two best players to get any 65% shot they wanted all game long. Terrible game plan and zero adjustments. That’s why Thibs is not the answer.

Have a look at that quote from no Dope in the fire thibs thread. Thibs coached a 60 win bulls team, only to have rose injured in the first round because of attrition. Regardless, its not an overreaction, and we can only hope that he gets fired in the offseason.

Thibs drop coverage is maddening we were just giving up wide open mid ranges and open 3's last night...all to protect the rim.

KAT is a fish out of water in drop coverage but we continue to use it.

I can’t disagree with this more, thibs has always gotten the most out of the talent given to him and players have only gotten better with him as the coach, assuming some random coach who you don’t even know is going go get more out of this team is foolish. Thibs is not the problem here, it’s lack of depth for one and lack of rim protection 2nd..those are the biggest issues, not coaching

Making up arguments just to defend Thibs, you may as well call that man Daddy with how hard you're going for him. The damage is already done to those two, Mikal averaged 41mpg from December until maybe 2 games ago. The starters got annihilated, the two wings were 2-17 and couldn't guard anyone, that is obviously the bench's fault, it's also the bench's fault the starting 5 can't shoot threes anymore. It's the bench' fault that our defensive scheme on threes is horrific and almost always leads to 1-2 passes away from an open shot for the opponents.

In 2018, Jimmy Butler literally sat out the all-star game cause he was tired, that was obviously the bench's fault

Yall told me Shamet, Payne and the kids were good enough to play so Mikal did not need all those minutes. But its all Thibs fault they get blown out by Isaiah Joe.

I cant wait for the next coach who will be our Steve Kerr. He will keep everyone under 30 minutes, no one will get injured or tired or sick, all the kids will be stars and play more than the vets, the price of eggs and gas will be a dollar, our offense and defense will be modern and #1, we'll have the best 3pt defense too. The next administration will definitely keep all these promises right?

Last time it was Aaron Wiggins. We should beat that team. Yet, from what I’ve seen, I’m afraid we’re going to lose again on Sunday.

Og and Mikal had a combined 4 pts last night. If they bounce back the team should be more competitive.

Yeah they both are great. I think I give the slightest of edges to SGA because of his defensive ability. But Jokic is the best offensive player in the game.
