The Bears are still the different, weird kid down the block. And they don’t want to change that. If the Bears strike out on the top names, we will know why it happened, and how avoidable it would have been.
Over/under on 24 interview candidates? I think 30 is in play
So, because they are interviewing more candidates than most people think they should, the process is laughable? I mean, besides the number of candidates that they are interviewing, what are they really doing that’s all that different? We came into the office season with 6 openings. One got filled and another one (Dallas) just opened up. It’s not like all the top candidates are flying off the shelves right now.
There’s a perception out there that they appear outwardly like they don’t know what they are doing, or looking for. They interview over a dozen OC candidates, and come up with Shane Waldron. They bring everyone in the NFL for their HC process, and it begins to be a chuckle nationally. They neglect to bring in all the top quarterbacks during the last draft, and come up with the worst one so far. Everything they do is wrong. All of the sudden being different is supposed to serve them well. Ok.
Fleet, half of the things that you just mentioned don’t have anything to do with this particular search. It’s just another airing of personal grievances which you continue to do (Mike Brown alert)…..
Over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over….well, you get the point.
We understand your position. But it’s as if you’re willing it to happen a certain way just to be right. Why not just sit back and let it play out?? If you’re that confident that they are going to screw this up, just chill and let it happen. I promise you. I’ll eat the crow. I crap you not.
