Why the **** are we signing Kaminsky?

Much cheaper KO replacement.

Why does him being cheaper matter? We're above the cap regardless.

I guess at the end of the day, I think KO is significantly overpaid for what he does. The Raps can just sign another vet to a min contract & get similar production. I would rather he just be off the books.

Having said that, I don't think we would get anything useful in return for him. May as well keep him for trade filler or let him expire.

This is just a flat out lie. Go pull up a single post from any of our wins where ardent tWo members are "happy" we won because one of our young guys played well.

The extremist wing of tWo losses their minds anytime we win a single game, regardless of how we won that game. It's completely irrational to keep getting upset after any win. I'm on team tWo but the extreme tWo members can't seem to fathom that maybe it's not possible to lose 50 games in a row.

Get another tWo member call this a lie. You need to take anger management classes

Hey, it's not my fault the extremist contingent of tWo are braindead.

The irony is that the tankers possess the least understanding of the lottery odds.

A main tank advocate advocate recently stated "the odds were astronomical that Detroit would fall to fifth 3 times in a row in the lottery".

Actually....the odds were not "astronomical".

In fact....the odds of the LAST PLACE team falling to 5th in the draft 3 YEARS IN A ROW are approximately 11%.

The odds of the last place team getting first overall in any draft are 14%.

So essentially....if a team comes in last place 3 years in a row....they have the same odds of getting three picks at the 5 slot as they do getting 1st overall in any of those 3 drafts.

It really doesn't matter that much if we come dead last or 2nd last or 3rd last or 4th last. And it certainly doesn't matter as much to see currently9 developing players fall on their faces for the sake of an extra place down in the standings. The changes in lottery odds simply do not justify the long term consequences of stunted development.

I mean...it does make sense when you give up on player potential once they start shaving regularly. But contrary to that perspective....players DO continue to develop in their 20s.

Kaminsky is significantly worse at everything. You are not going to get similar production out of a vet min. Vet mins = Bruno Fernando.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Yep.

I 100% take a 7% chance at #1 and superior players over bottoming out entirely and getting a 14% chance. People seem to forget that basketball still has 5 players on the court, not 1.

The #1 best way to improve a team such as ours is to develop our guys, and eventually get lucky in the draft (either via picking a stud in the 5-10 range, or moving up to the top 5). The next best way is having an injury plagued season such as the one we are in now and getting a top 5 pick while not being a true bottom 5 team.

I have watched enough of Kaminsky on the 905 to know that he can basically do what KO does.

He is a slowish big who can hit the odd 3 & pass.

Even if Kaminsky is a poor man's KO, does it really matter at this point? Neither are great options & need to be replaced.

Kelly for all his faults is still quicker, smarter, and more skilled than Kaminsky. Frank is putting up worse stats in the G than Kelly is in the NBA. There is a reason he is unsigned.
