We don't need more catch-and-shoot guys who will stand in the corner. We have enough of those guys. We need guys who can carry the second unit and who can get their own buckets when the defense tries to take away Giannis/Dame. They don't need to be high usage in general. They just need to be capable of being a high usage player in short spurts when Dame/Giannis are on the bench. A guy who can run an effective two-man game with either of them.

Khris is obviously capable of that with Giannis. He and Dame haven't quite gotten there, but I actually am fairly certain that they'd play quite well off of one another with more seasoning.

Can LaVine do that?

This is completely fair. As I said, I'd just keep Khris, but Lavine, if he accepted his role, could be a really good fit on offense (he's a 2/3, not a guard exclusively to me).

Play him with Dame as little as possible.

Risky for sure, but a far better choice than Butler to me.

They sat Khris out. Rushed warm up for the game. You think that happens in the playoffs? A healthy Khris is sat in a meaningless game in January so you want to give up a playoff assassin for a guy who shot 43% in his lone career playoff series?

Khris plays in the playoffs, and dominates. You want to trade him for someone great? Sure, but not an uncaring scrub like Lavine.

Maybe he can keep up that level of play. Or he gets tired if not hurt.

If he wasn’t throwing yet another hissy fit (this time transparently about money) we’d be laughing all the way to the bank to trade broken Khris, Bobby and a protected pick for him.

There just aren’t many two way stars with a proven track record looking like MJ when it counts in the playoffs.

In the last 4 years, Jimmy had a playoff season where he scored 14 ppg while shooting 29%, a playoff season where he missed it entirely with injury, and has shot 43% in his last 3 playoff series. Now he's older.

Don't live in the past on Jimmy Butler. Playoff Jimmy was a moniker earned in his 20s. He's 35 now.

Are Bucks fans aware that Giannis/Bobby lineups have now outperformed Giannis/Brook lineups? Yet we never see the same energy against Brook, despite Bobby consistently needing to anchor bench lineups.

You can't not play him with Dame. Dame plays 36 minutes a game. You can't pay $43 million for 12 mpg.

LAC While I don't know how much LAC would want another headcase looking for a contract extension they basically buy another 12 million dollar expiring next year.

So the ankles were fine last playoffs, but they're worse after a cleanup? Kavorkian do the surgery? If they're so bad, why didn't his feet fall off when KD undercut him this year?
