KC figured out how to stop their QB sneaks, and that really turned the tide of the game when BUF failed on 4th and short. And again, no one has an answer for Mahomes and that KC offense, that seems to be able to generate points whenever they need to.
Also crucial was KC converting a 2 point play, while BUF failed on two of them, including one from the one yard line. That's a 6 point swing.
I was chatting on twitter about the game, and I said I feel like Buffalo should win, but you just can't bet against Mahomes. He's Jordan at this point. It doesn't matter if the other team is more talented, it doesn't matter what else is going on, you just can't bet against him.
And this game was a microcosm of that for all the reasons you said, not just Mahomes obviously, but KC just makes these crucial plays. When there is a critical "game on the line" type moment. KC makes the play. It's really hard to overcome that. It's like you have to beat them big and consistently.
Also, obviously no genius in this statement either, I think it's now 17 straight one score games they've won.
With that stated there was more than a fair share of calls going KCs way. The 4th and 1, the worthy "catch" were bad looks for the NFL

Disagree with its what got them there. The Bills fired Ken Dorsey mid season last year to run the ball more. And it worked. They put an emphasis on limiting mistakes from Josh Allen. James Cook is their 2nd best playmaker. When the Bills beat the Ravens last week, Josh had under 200 yards passing.dougthonus wrote:nitetrain8603 wrote:I will say this. Maybe, but your QB is potentially the MVP of the league, and you go with what is working. I mean it's one of those things where hindsight is 20/20 to me. If he's able to convert the QB sneaks, which have been unstoppable for Buffalo all year long, then they win the game. It's hard for me to say "hey, don't use your the play that has proven completely unstoppable in the most critical moments, go do something else" because if that thing failed, you'd look back and go what the hell were you thinking? You outsmarted yourself.
In the end, people will always question the results in a loss, but going with your best player as the critical cog and the best plays that you've won with all year is hard for me to be overly critical about. With that stated there was more than a fair share of calls going KCs way. The Worthy catch was the right call IMO, tie goes to the receiver and clearly was a tie in the end even though Hamlin looked like he had initial possession, the ball is sliding in his hands and not firmly in them, but even if you want to say it was the wrong call, there was holding on the play, KC was going to have first down from the Buffalo 24 in the worst case scenario.
Agree the 4th and 1 was a call was a tough one. I get why it wasn't overturned, but bad look for the NFL for sure, if they called it the other way on the field, no way it gets overturned either.

"I think they're both capable quarterbacks, and my preference would be to sign one of them, so that'll be the priority," Rooney told reporters. "And I think that will give us the best opportunity to move forward."
It will be interesting to see who they pick, and then what the other guy gets on the open market. If they pick Wilson, what teams might be interested in Fields? Cleveland? Raiders? Saints? Tennessee? I don't guess he'll be given a starting job, but will likely have a chance to compete for one. Especially if some team drafts a rookie QB, they might see Justin as a 1-2 year stop gap.

If they can’t give MVP to Saquon this season, they should change the name to reflect that it’s exclusively a QB award. End the farce.
