He has been benched by the Coach and a minimum salary midget has been guaranteed his starting position to play PG. His replacement really does not play a traditional PG role, which is what we wanted, right. This coach has managed to turn a 49 win team, that acquired better players in the off season, into a freaking mess. If I were Beal, I would be all over getting out of town, virtually wherever that might be. How can he be happy playing on this team?
Maybe he and his family just like the valley? I mean dude was on the Wizards for a decade so you can’t bully him with dysfunction…
The Suns accepted the trade knowing he controls everything. Blame the Suns.
The guy still plays a major role off the bench and finishes games. They asked him to come, he moved his family here. I don't understand it.
Plus some just make assumptions that he won't waive it to move. I know he won't waive it out of his contract entirely, but there has been no indication that he has been approached to waive it for a specific trade and declined to. As a matter of fact, they've said they haven't been. The Suns just haven't found a place.
But he plays in a great city, has a family, has a nice role on the team, probably likes most of his teammates, and is a pro. Why do people assume players want to get out of town? We don't even know if he's unhappy in his role. But even if you were unhappy at work, would you want to suddenly move your family out of town for another job in a worse city making the same money? Now maybe it would be a better city but you just moved to Phoenix 2 years ago and have your 6, 5 and 2 year olds in school in Phoenix now. Situated in a new city after living most of your career in Washington because he's not a guy to move around a lot.
