LAC appears to want to trade Nurkic to us. It would have to be for Bog to avoid money issues next season. They're talking about Nurk and CLE FRP. I do that trade

Per Windhorst - "Keep an eye on the Atlanta Hawks. They just lost their star wing Jalen Johnson for the season. They may start to get interested in making a move, especially for Brandon Ingram"

I guess it all depends on what exactly the cost would be.

So we are trading for an injured player to replace the one we just lost to injury? And even more injury prone player?
Then what is the plan for next season as he is an UFA?

We all know that it's best to trade a stock at its highest value.

Yet, it becomes incredibly difficult to do so when the time actually comes. And so the same scenario plays out over and over again.

Pick a player that's not an alltime great, suggest they shld be traded because they're not an alltime great. Then wait for them to slump, because they're not an alltime great, then try to convince us you were right all along. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Is the high ankle sprain (4-6 week injury) that bad, or is it a situation of milking it for both NO and him?

Depending on what we give up, it might be a "we didn't give much to get him, so if he walks it isn't that big of an issue". Bogi+Clint for Ingram+Theis works salary wise.

Three trade senario's in the rumors:

CHA: Micic for Roddy / SRP
PHX: Nurk / FRP / + for Bog
NO: Ingram for CC / + (need more salary)

Based on the rumors, it appears the plan is to compete this season and have more salary flexibilty next season

A very specific set of team building principles that I've watched great organizations (across multiple sports) use to build winners.

Hard Truth: 90% of Players to ever wear a Hawks Jersey are completely replaceable. Falling in love with a guy every time he has a great couple of months is folly...

It's a repeat of every trade deadline though. I have no faith in this FO.
