Looking at younger distressed assets, maybe Grant is a target at this point.
Brook + Pat + 2025 WAS SRP for Grant + Reath
Lillard/Green/Wright
Jackson/Trent/Marjon
Kuzma/Prince/Baldwin
Grant/Bobby/Livingston
Giannis/Reath/Smith
If the plan is turning Giannis into a full time C, I guess it's a more viable option pairing him with two big forwards at all times.

I mean, there also the argument that shipping out four or five more guys leads to massive chemistry issues (that Doc won’t be quick to remedy) when really the ten had a couple months of being top 10 in O and D before the point of attack and wing D starting getting them shredded again.
So a couple of smaller moves involving bench players (sorry Midds IS a bench player) to give them younger athletic guys might stabilize things to get back to the nice run they were on.
Martin would be a solid guy to help D up 2s and 3s. You hope his 3P% goes up with Dame/Giannis gravity.

Blazers might be down with that as a way to get out of Grant’s deal almost immediately.

If they don’t at least get to a tightly contested ECSF, I think they ship out Dame and try to use the new found financial flexibility to retool around Giannis.
Unless Dame looks absolutely terrible in the playoffs, he’ll still have trade value because he’d only have two years left on his deal.

As long as Giannis is Giannis we have a path. Getting the MVP-caliber player is the hardest part.

Top two player in the world who last time he was healthy in the playoffs almost single handedly carried them to the finals (and probably would have beaten GSW by himself).

That should tarnish his legacy in Milwaukee because he influenced the Griffin hire, which led to Doc's. And multiple player moves that had questionable results he had input in too.
He can't then bounce immediately after they don't work out. Can at least put in a couple more years, seeing out Dame being washed too, before jumping ship. Wouldn't hold it against him if he wanted out after '27-'28 or so.

I definitely don’t want to lose Giannis. I just feel like we’re almost in the ballpark of contending… but the ballpark is in the rear view mirror and we’re driving towards Brookfield.

We might get Jimmy Butler for scraps, unless the Suns give up KD.

Brook is playing tonight
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If Giannis is going to ask out, then the Bucks should've taken the Luka deal.

I wouldn't hate Grant but he's been worsening and his contract is ugly.

I like it, I'm not sure Dallas bites on that with Lively out but maybe they would? I think it checks a lot of boxes for us.

I mean… kind of?
What do you really expect to get out of a quote like that other than what he said? Were you expecting something different?
It’s a pretty run-of-the-mill quote for a scenario where a guy you’ve played with forever gets traded. Nothing shocking or out of the ordinary.
When your franchise player directly eludes to his eventual exit from the team, I'd say that warrants conversation on a Bucks forum. It's not a code red scenario but its not nothing either.
That’s how you’re interpreting it. “Until I dip,” could also mean retire.
