The Golden State Warriors have acquired Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat and have also agreed to a new two-year, $121 million extension with him. Butler is declining his 25-26 player option for his new contract.
The Warriors are trading out Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Schroder, Kyle Anderson, Lindy Waters III and a protected first round pick to the Heat for Butler.
Butler had been seeking a trade since December and preferred a deal to the Phoenix Suns, but the Warriors were one of the original teams on his list.
