This should have been the default mindset.

Laughing at the people who thought they were making a playoff push this year with this move.
Im moreso laughing at the tank freaks that thought this was a competing move to ruin this years draft position. :) preemptive whining.

Ha yeah, "Oh no, we got the #1 pick!"

Even Ace would be great and could easily come off the bench at the 3/4.

Imagine the outrage if we get the #1 pick and then take Maluach because he's the best fit.

I will retire as moderator again if that happens. At least give people something to cheer about.

no, i think if we simply draft BPA then figure things out afterwards

there's enough to show how history hasn't been kind to those who draft for fit over BPA
(Wiseman over Lonzo Ball because of Steph/Klay, Sam Bowie over Michael jordan because of Clyde Drexler, Blazers again 2005, passing on Deron William, Chris Paul), Bagley over Doncic, Raps Igoudala over Araujo lol

for example, if we get Flagg, we take Flagg then figure it out afterwards

Other teams are gonna have to defend Ingram well, so this is a good point. Scottie as a 3rd option is great. I think triple double threat hopefully

Masai wants to showcase NBA Africa Academy and Giants of Africa. He would take Maluach just for the publicity.

if he wanted to do that, he would had taken Kuminga (a product of Giants of Africa) over Barnes

If scottie can average out to be a 17-20ppg 7-8rbs and 8-10ast per game player with strong defence (3 stocks), we are in amazing shape. SB's natural instincts is to set guys up, you can see how he lights up when he makes an unreal pass. BI + SB could be an amazing combo

If we sit Ingram the rest of the season, secure a top 6-7 pick and resign him for around $25-30m per year it will be a no-brainer trade.

What in the reality that we currently live in, makes you think that kind of extension is even remotely possible lol. If he pulls that off, I'll take back every criticism i've ever uttered about Masai. It aint happening my guy, tack on another 10mil on both low and high ends.

People gotta stop looking at cap in $$$ and look at percentage of the cap.

The drastic increases in cap make the actual salaries like funny money and hard to actually use as a comparison.

Same with IQs contract. 32.5 million seems like a ton..until you look at it as a flat contract. 22% of the cap goes to only 16% of the cap throughout the contract.

BI is not getting the max but he will at least be seeing 38-40 range.

This draft day will be wild. I think Ball with BI and Barnes would be nasty.
lol draft Flagg.
Quick, De Kobe, 2026 1st 2025 2nd , 2027 1st. For Ball.
I’m not a fan of Trae and it would hurt my eyes to watch him.

Ball/Dick/Ingram/Scottie...

Poor Jakob

The only thing worse than that Ball/Dick backcourt defense would be their potential nicknames  .

Might as well trade for lonzo too. It will be the only team in history with a Dick and two Balls.

I missed it. Did anyone ask about Boucher? What's the plan with him I remember a rumour how there's mutual interest in him coming back.

I don't remember hearing about Boucher. I don't see how they can bring him back. They have to pay BI and then hopefully get a backup 5. I'd be happy to have Chris back though...just as long as it doesn't stop us from getting an actual 5.
