More importantly, Giannis and Lillard are +4.2 when they're on the court. It's the highest of any of our top ten two man lineups. When lineups tighten up and guys are playing 40 minutes a night in the playoffs, how well those two play together is all that matters.
Pace had nothing to do with it. We have a 117.2 offensive rating 116.7 defensive rating with him on, and a 110 offensive rating and 108.3 defensive rating with him off.
Dame has the second highest win share total behind Giannis. No one cares about on/off rating.
I think the goal is winning, so yeah, on/off is huge. WS/48 can be useful, but it doesn't really account for defense.
