I adjusted for pace. Still positive.

More importantly, Giannis and Lillard are +4.2 when they're on the court. It's the highest of any of our top ten two man lineups. When lineups tighten up and guys are playing 40 minutes a night in the playoffs, how well those two play together is all that matters.

Pace had nothing to do with it. We have a 117.2 offensive rating 116.7 defensive rating with him on, and a 110 offensive rating and 108.3 defensive rating with him off.

Dame has the second highest win share total behind Giannis. No one cares about on/off rating.

I think the goal is winning, so yeah, on/off is huge. WS/48 can be useful, but it doesn't really account for defense.

On off means absolutely nothing.

What do you think means more: a stat that captures how good the Bucks play when Dame and Giannis are on the court, or a stat that counts how Dame looks when it's garbage time and the team is rolling scrubs out there?

A guy who is on the court when a player goes for 30 isn't as important as the player that is actually scoring 30. That is the difference between win share and on/off. So if the goal is to win you want the guys who are the ones scoring 30.

The reason Brook is so important is that the Bucks are bad at guarding lane penetration.

If the Bucks had good perimeter defenders, the need for Brook would diminish greatly. In the meantime, he can't buy a rebound and with his great height and weight, on offense he's the furthest Buck away from the basket. Beyond logic.

With today's screen game, most players can get a screen and get into the lane.

Yeah, Brook still has good rim numbers, but the defense is pretty much the same if he's on or off. Bobby has really bad rim numbers, yet the defense isn't any worse with him on or off. There's different ways to defend, and rebounding helps the defense.

You want guys that make your team better. Defense is more than just the man your guarding.

Do you really think our scrubs are dominating garbage time? A lot of players have good numbers with Giannis, he's the best player in the game. We have almost half the roster with better 2 man lineup numbers next to Giannis.

If Mark Williams couldn't pass a physical, we want nothing to do with him.

Let Charlotte keep him, and get Moussa Diabite instead.

We have already cleared house for a potential trade for our 3rd best player.

Lillard could be traded for a shortlist of players like

Kevin Durant
Steph
Kyrie
Trae
Lamelo

Even so it is a tough decision cause the other team has to want a win now superstar like Dame and not blowing it up.

i just dont really know who wants Dame all that bad. i'm not trying to discount how good he is offensively but at that stage of his career the fit would need to be perfect and level of urgency somewhere approaching desperate.

If Monk keeps struggling as the PG in Sacramento, that's the place. Kings acquired Valanciunas at the deadline, making it easier for them to deal Sabonis for Dame.

The other place to send Dame to, if they stay hot, is back to Portland, and we get a number of young, improving players. They're overloaded with forwards and centers.

The two teams that make sense are Sacramento and Houston. Sacramento would need to be a multi team deal with some team taking Derozan but Lillard, Ellis, Lavine, Murray, and Sabonis fits much better. Houston really works because they have the defensive support at Lillard just like they support FVV.

It's Lillard for Sabonis, with Valanciunas taking over as the Kings starting center.

Without getting into the x's and o's, it's not true. There are teams that are really good at stopping dribble penetration and those that are bad. The Bucks are bad, with or without high ball screens.

I'd also assume they'll try to wait until the release deadline for playoff eligible players before making a decision on Rollins, which will be pretty close to his two-way eligibility anyways. No need to sign him now.

Yet you didn’t care at all when I and others were really annoyed that Giannis was playing lots of garbage minutes against garbage teams to get his PPGZ. Giannis has been this way for a while under too many players’ coaches. This is why he’s hurt. This is why we end up with guys like Griff. This is why we don’t have playoff wins the last two years.

Maybe I forgot but I don't remember "not caring at all" if he plays garbage minutes against garbage teams.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

True, but there's different ways to defend ball screens, and that's why the Bucks defense doesn't get any worse when Lopez leaves the floor.

Lopez is great versus bad offensive teams, and has gotten cooked all year versus good offensive teams.
