I liked the KAT trade and he is having a solid impact at least in the regular season. Mikal is a very good player but that trade continues to be a head scratcher for me.
The Knicks did need to make moves, but trading 5x FRPs for a role player was not the move to make.
I wouldn’t have minded the trade for Mikal if it was 3 less firsts. I like him as a role player/ solid starter. He’s great as 4th option. Knicks could really use a legit number two option to push up to the next level. What could a combo of OG/ Mikal and picks ( do they have any left ) bring? Seems like they are ripe for a consolidation trade. Maybe not that one but something.
