I liked the KAT trade and he is having a solid impact at least in the regular season. Mikal is a very good player but that trade continues to be a head scratcher for me.

The Knicks did need to make moves, but trading 5x FRPs for a role player was not the move to make.

I wouldn’t have minded the trade for Mikal if it was 3 less firsts. I like him as a role player/ solid starter. He’s great as 4th option. Knicks could really use a legit number two option to push up to the next level. What could a combo of OG/ Mikal and picks ( do they have any left ) bring? Seems like they are ripe for a consolidation trade. Maybe not that one but something.

I think he gets a discount on airline tickets now. He flies in the offseason with Towns. I didn't realize that Towns was old enough for AARP until I saw him play the Celtics this season. In fairness he did have to chase Luke Kornet .

If Mitch is healthy and in rhythm, we can beat anyone. KAT doesn't work as a full time rim protector, we need a twin towers like the Wolves had last year.

Our offense and defense are very concerning against the top teams, but at least we'll have a puncher's chance if we can be elite defensively.

I think they should improve their depth instead of shortening it..turn OG into a good backup guard and a forward to replace him

It's definitely a big "If". Mitch is very injury prone and sometimes it takes him a while to get in shape. He's slimmed down which should help, but I wouldn't put money on it.

We're still need major roster changes to be a top tier contender. Brunson and KAT can't be the 2 best players on a finals team. They can be hunted relentlessly on defense and can get exposed offensively.

We made physicality and bully ball our identity & then we lost it all in the off-season. KAT & Brunson are balling but the roster is clearly lacking.

I think we should hold out for the next star player that wants out. You're not gonna trade for better role players than Bridges or OG. Im cool with the 2010s Raptors approach of rolling out competitive but imperfect teams and hoping for that big star trade that takes us over the top.
