It’s wild you bring him up. They look like twins  I remember thinking, “What’s he doing on the Minnesota bench? He’s a Knick!”

Knicks have $540k in room under the apron. That means they can only pay him for about 22 games, i.e. starting after the Feb 28 game.

I think they're going to aim higher, but who they sign depends on who gets waived and remains unsigned come March 1st.

Really hoping that Warren can claim that Burks 2.0 spot of hoisting up shots, not passing the ball and playing zero defense.

25.2ppg
6.4rpg
3.5apg
1.7spg
0.7bpg
On 50/36/81 splits.

He’s got that covered.

Bring him up. We need wing offense off the bench. Unless you guys are cool with them Precious masquerading as a wing minutes...

We can’t sign him until March 1st but yeah we need some scoring punch off the bench big time

I called him being added months ago. Two more weeks people. He will be here. That's my take and I'm sticking to it. Not sure how much he will play with this HC being a total lunatic but, he will be rewarded for sticking around in Westchester all season making 75k or whatever they make.

I am just as curious to see why we traded for Wright as well. Is he really a perimeter defensive blanket? I hope so. We need help guarding the 3 ball in the worst way.

If Delon Wright has any chance to play... this is the week to show up during practice and under defense assignments. I do believe he can help in someways.

What's his deal? I remember him showing promise coming into the league but, he fell of my radar years ago. I forgot he existed honestly. I hear he can't shoot to save his life but, he is supposed to be some great defender. That's all it takes to get in Thibs rotation.

Can't another team scoop up TJ in the meantime while we have to wait until March?

Yes. I assume the team told him they would sign him if he waits. Not sure how many teams are really dying to add him either. I can't imagine he's the hottest commodity on the market. We may not even sign him either but, I just have the feeling we will. There has to be a reason he is still in Westchester.

Overall I would love to upgrade the bench with better players but, that's not gonna happen this season. Hopefully TJ can bring something to the team and Thibs gets the best out of him. We could certainly use size and scoring off the bench and he fits the bill for now,

Not sure why this is even a discussion. Not like he's going to get minutes if he's called up. Thibs plays 9, probably 8 max in the playoffs. With Mitch coming back, Hart will most likely go to the bench. You got Hart, Precious, McBride and Payne on the bench. No one else is gonna get any minutes unless an injury or it's garbage time.

I could see a Thibs world in which he takes Precious's minutes

I've seen him play plenty. I don't think he ever passed the ball once

Really liked what I saw from him in preseason, he’s a bucket, we desperately need bench scoring.

This is the point where the rubber meets the road. When Mitch is back(OG healthy), what does Thibs do? Without even discussing TJ yet. We need to see how the rotations change. Shamet is most likely the first to disappear from the mix. I can't imagine the starting 5 changing at all so, how does Thibs approach things?

Payne/Deuce/Precious/Mitch will be the primary bench pieces. They have to get more than 40-50 mpg combined. There's not a lot of offense there at all. In order for TJ to ever sniff the court who is going to get the axe? Precious? Does Thibs expand the rotation?

It's going to be very interesting when we know Thibs will never go 10 deep with any consistency. Why we traded Sims for Wright is a head scratcher too. He isn't gonna see any minutes. I guess they wanted the cash?

We may not even add TJ but, I think he will be brought up for insurance purposes at least. Maybe some spare situational minutes might fall in his lap. Who knows? Thibs minutes distribution will have to change regardless of what we do with TJ.

I agree with the bit I bolded. That's why I think TJ will eat some of Precious's time - and even maybe some of Deuce's if his offense doesn't get more solid.

Wright is a bit of a mystery. I guess Thibs doesn't trust Kolek and wants backup for JB/Payne in case of injury? Maybe???? Thibs would end up preferring Delon over Payne. I don't really see that, but it's possible. Also, if I was Thibs I would have wanted Sims to be traded for dust in order to open up a spot for TJ right away. So that's a bit of a mystery too for me.

One sentence? j/k

I agree that TJ may see situational minutes and it is anyone's guess who loses those minutes. Precious because of position. Deuce if he struggles. Who knows what the method to Thibs madness is when it comes to his bench. He doesn't really like using the bench at all. That much we do know. I don't see him expanding the rotation much if at all but, I do think he will shorten it once the playoffs start and there will be no consistency to any of it. Whatever. Maybe he changes his ways after 15 years. We shall see.

I'm looking forward to just getting Mitch/OG back and going from there. I am done trying to make sense of what this HC does. He is a genius and the players all suck. That's what quite a few people around here think. I read the board and it drives me crazier by the day. KAT is empty calories. We will never win with Brunson/KAT. We need to bench Hart. Mikal sucks. We need to start Mitch. We need to trade for Giannis. Etc etc etc. It is pure madness around here. Most wins at the ASB in 51 years. Best winning % at the break in 28 years. Not sure how that works but, both are being reported. Highest scoring starting 5 in Knicks history. Multiple starting All stars. Not good enough. Go figure. We should do what the RealGM posters say and ignore the results we are witnessing. Randle is better value than KAT. Don't you guys know that? Leon sucks. Amazing.
