It’s wild you bring him up. They look like twins

Knicks have $540k in room under the apron. That means they can only pay him for about 22 games, i.e. starting after the Feb 28 game.

Not sure how much he will play with this HC being a total lunatic but, he will be rewarded for sticking around in Westchester all season making 75k or whatever they make.
I am just as curious to see why we traded for Wright as well. Is he really a perimeter defensive blanket? I hope so. We need help guarding the 3 ball in the worst way.

If Delon Wright has any chance to play... this is the week to show up during practice and under defense assignments. I do believe he can help in someways.

With Mitch coming back, Hart will most likely go to the bench. You got Hart, Precious, McBride and Payne on the bench. No one else is gonna get any minutes unless an injury or it's garbage time.

I could see a Thibs world in which he takes Precious's minutes

This is the point where the rubber meets the road. When Mitch is back(OG healthy), what does Thibs do? Without even discussing TJ yet. We need to see how the rotations change. Shamet is most likely the first to disappear from the mix. I can't imagine the starting 5 changing at all so, how does Thibs approach things?
Payne/Deuce/Precious/Mitch will be the primary bench pieces. They have to get more than 40-50 mpg combined. There's not a lot of offense there at all. In order for TJ to ever sniff the court who is going to get the axe? Precious? Does Thibs expand the rotation?
It's going to be very interesting when we know Thibs will never go 10 deep with any consistency. Why we traded Sims for Wright is a head scratcher too. He isn't gonna see any minutes. I guess they wanted the cash?
We may not even add TJ but, I think he will be brought up for insurance purposes at least. Maybe some spare situational minutes might fall in his lap. Who knows? Thibs minutes distribution will have to change regardless of what we do with TJ.

I agree with the bit I bolded. That's why I think TJ will eat some of Precious's time - and even maybe some of Deuce's if his offense doesn't get more solid.
Wright is a bit of a mystery. I guess Thibs doesn't trust Kolek and wants backup for JB/Payne in case of injury? Maybe???? Thibs would end up preferring Delon over Payne. I don't really see that, but it's possible.
