Well, that's a big hypothetical, but Ivey at $25 million per, STARTING TWO YEARS FROM NOW, under this cap is better than John Collins', yes.TPA wrote:DetroitSho wrote:Well, Ivey for John Collins, for starters.TPA wrote:Who is talking about "throwing Ivey away"?

It's a bad proposal at face value, mostly due to contracts and age, but I see them as about the same tier of player. If Ivey gets a similar contract next year, is he that much better of a value?

If we're making the calls, we are selling low, and that's not where I'd think we'd be.
Experience is a hell of a thing. A team doesn't need years of the playoffs to be a contender,(04 Pistons) but the players need a little seasoning. Even with KD, from 5 years ago, this team needs at least one season of playoff experience.Kalamazoo317 wrote:We’re on pace to be sixth in the east right now with Ivey out. Swap in Durant for Tobias and this is absolutely a contender. Some of y’all are sleeping on how Cade has become an All-NBA level player who makes people around him better. Add Durant to that and we absolutely have a couple years window to contend.

Theoretically — the Magic? He’s a solid fit with Suggs and the playmaking forwards.
Dunno what they’d offer besides a pick package, though. Won’t be Suggs, Franz or Paolo, Anthony Black hasn’t shown much, and no one else on the roster is the centerpiece of a JI trade.
Maybe for a pick package, releasing Cole Anthony, and a dozen free shots to his goofy face.

This a good analysis!
Honestly, I think Ausar is a star in the making. He is Pippen and Rodman combined imo.
Holland reminds me of a young Paul Pierce
