Yeah. I kind of thought the idea was to have NBA All stars compete in these events. Not "professional dunkers". Whatever. Like I suggested, just have a circus every year and play a basketball game in the middle of it. What's the difference?

Except Jaylen Brown did it a few years ago and everyone thought it was an embarrassment. Most all stars aren't really working on creative dunks. Maybe Ja Morant? The dunk contest and 3pt contest have always included non all stars. Harold Miner, Dee Brown, and Kenny Walker are among the contest winners. They were trash players. You only have a few years where a Dwight Howard or MJ or Bird comes in and takes over.

It's always been a contest with the best dunkers only now most of those guys aren't NBA players.

Then like I said, do whatever to get viewers. I won't be one unless my team is involved ever again. The skills competition was garbage. The 3pt contest is too gimmicky. The dunk contest was basically a one man show. Castle did a decent job trying to just use the ball and his own skill though. The games are not worth watching anymore. It really has less to do with skill these days. The league has been grasping for straws trying to make it better for years. Not having much success at all.

I thought the Lavine v Aaron Gordon contest in Toronto was the best ever, and Gordon should have won.

I guess if you want viewers to watch your lame All Star weekend then why not just have them play the Harlem Globetrotters too? We could shoot guys out of cannons and bring in elephants and clowns. Have them light the basketballs on fire for every dunk. The three point shooting contest they should have to grab the balls out of baskets full of poisonous snakes.

Last year everyone was giving Jalen Brown so much credit for going in it as a star, but then he did terrible

Will this help Kat get a few more calls on drives to the hoop? Or fewer?

Yeah, whatever else you think or the contest, Mac is impressive to watch.

Yup I do too...

Vince has between the legs and power 360 but he has little else, he's an amazing in game dunker

But LaVine is the superior Dunk Contest dunker has windmill, between the legs, behind the back, he's more aesthetically pleasing to watch... but he's not an amazing in game dunker like VC was.

SGA and Towns seem like a good pairing.

The fact that these drunks allowed to ruin this already ruined game.
This product is wack tbh

The “goats” need to step up and be an example of it or it will be the young boys with nothing to lose showing up every time.

Minor was the first "baby Jordan" before Hill. He was just a bust.

He was only Baby Jordan because he was bald and could dunk. He wasn't any good as an NBA player.

Not watching but I assume it sucks.

Cancel the all star festivities.

The combo of Adam Silver and entitled rich athletes has ruined this once-fun event. It’s been downhill for at least a decade.

LeBron ruined it ever since he decided to pass the ball while Kobe was asking him to go 1 on 1. iconic moment that defined the league and Melo knew it right there!!

As soon as I saw Brunson and KAT on different teams I shut it off. WTF? I will never waste my time on this garbage again. Circus clowns and elephants would have been better than this crap. The entire weekend sucked from start to finish. Saturday and Sunday were just trash. I don't even understand what they are trying to do here. East vs West is not a thing anymore. What is the point exactly? Trash on trash on trash.

How much money do you need to pay these guys to make it worth their while?

If they go back to East/West, should they pay the winning team $1 million per player and the losing squad $250k per player?

or make it Team North America vs Team International?
