If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

Coach tells media that player has participated during practice but is still having mild discomfort. Player is out 6-8 weeks. Player is out for rest of the season.
Anywho, might as well give those extra PF minutes to Smith who has deserved them all season long.

IDK, injuries are all different and guys feel a responsibility to play with minor injuries. You're right that it usually catches up with them.
But I'm 100% with you on Smith. Why this dude is playing so little baffles me. I want Smith getting 30MPG, if for no other reason just to see if he can handle if for next season.

That seems like a weird condition for a 23 year old who averaged 27 minutes per game in his career to have - is there anyone more familiar with this that can chime in?

Super common injury for even young basketball players. Basically an inflamed tendon, usually from too much strain. IMO, being a little heavy this season contributed.

Consequently, there is almost no risk in the Bulls moving him, as long as the return for the trade is not even more negative.
It's time to give up, people.
