Sooooooooo um what is Paolo and Franz?
We do understand that this is not 1990s. Everyone on the court should be able to handle the ball and make plays these days.
I watch all these teams like the Cavs, Celtics, Thunder, Grizzlies that have players nobody heard of that fit into their scheme and are productive.
What tf is our scheme? Mid range shots?
Aren't you kinda proving his point though? The magic need to get better players that fit their scheme. Missing wide open threes is not a coaching issue? Not having a PG is not a coaching issue. These are personal/player skill issues rather than coaching issues.
No letting your players shoot fadeaway mid range shots is a coaching issue. It’s an egregious shot that should never be done.
Franz and Paolo are two guys a coach like SVG would put in a position to succeed.
No PG? What would having a PG do to Franz/Paolo? Anybody can be a PG these days. Franz and Paolo need the ball in their hands. They are not posting up waiting to shoot 3s off the PG running the show.
Ppl hate this but one needs dealt in a massive trade for better roster construction. Which will have to wait for a better coaching staff.
We have a completely different views of what the issues are. Middies are not the reason why the Magic are losing, being dead last in three-point shots made is a bigger reason why the magic are losing. A lack of bench production is a massive reason why the magic are losing. Recently the Magic have been playing Paolo in a lot of pick and rolls and taking the ball out of his hands or posting him up, which has helped him quite a bit, it would be nice to have a point guard to run it with him.
Again, these are not coaching issues but personnel issues. The need to consistently blame Mose for things he cannot control is crazy especially since he has been pretty good this year.
And it's funny you bring up SVG, when he even commented throughout the game the biggest issue for the Magic is their lack of three-point shooting and how that has negatively impacted Paolo and Franz into taking more inefficient shots.
