You never know with Kyrie but he's on the right track IMO, he's leading, the only well spoken guy in the org, and what's missing is a championship or multiple deep runs.
P.S. I tjink Kyrie opts in and extends to allow space to target KD.

Yeah and he does community stuff in Dallas and beyond. I think he gets it done in Dallas.
Regarding KD, I feel the same way. I mean, we're all on this boat right. So why pray it sinks. If Nico feels he's going all in, then why tap the brakes on KD. He's getting traded for sure. Might as well throw your name into the hat. I'm not 100% on the KD idea, but I can see the reasoning behind it. If you have a shot at winning it all, then why hold back.

Mavs package is clear, PJ, Gafford and Klay + LAL 1st, I'm torn TBH, I really hate to lose PJ I think he's very underrated, but I think this package pulls it off.
Mavrelous wrote:PJ production is in rebounding, switchability 2 to 5 and secondary rim protection, perfect modern 4.
ACMFFL wrote:I also think that Mavs will go after KD but I just hope that clueless Nico mf doesnt give up the farm for a fragile soon to be 37 years old KD..I think he's slightly more value than what Jimmy netted to Miami last TDL, so no Lively, no Christie and no 2031 pick.
Something like Klay/PJ/Gaff/Hardy/Omax/2029 LAL 1st.
And even then I still dont know if it's worth the candle.
Lively / Powell / min vet
AD / Marshall / Edwards
KD / Martin / min vet
Christie / Exum / 2025 rookie
Kyrie / Dinwiddie / min vet
The new brand Dallas Mercenaricks.

If all those salaries will have to go through I think you need to fill the bench with journeymen. Guys like Drummond, Nick Alexander Walker and Gerson Yabusele are all UFA in the summer and could fill certain roles. Similar to the Heatles and Pat Riley, it could work.
C- Lively / Drummond / Powell
PF- Davis / Yabusele / Edwards
SF- Durant / Martin / Alexander-Walker
SG- Christie / Marshall / Hardy
PG- Kyrie / Exum / Dinwiddie
Sure it's an older team with Kyrie and AD being 32 and KD being 37. But is it really a team you want to game plan for for a 7 game series? Guarding KD is still a tall order in 2025. There will be teams that will choose to game plan for SGA and his barking and howling buddies rather than face that.

NAW would be outside of Mavs range IMO, they will only have TPMLE, Yabusele is a long shot also, I prefer to throw the TPMLE on Capela if he doesn't get good offers, 1M in DAL is 1.5M in California/NY if you account for taxes and housing.
ACMFFL wrote:Yeah, definitely. I'd love Yabu but we could only offer the TMLE (unless Kyrie takes a huge Dirkesque discount in order to allow us to stay under the 1st apron but I can't see it at all), I dont know if it's enough to entice him.
