Seriously think about that for a second. Maybe his stats look a little better against opposing benches but that won't be development. Gradey is so bad on the defensive end that if he improves LEAPS and BOUNDS he'll still be well below league average.
It's called being 21 and putting on weight. It's not exactly a crazy concept. To make the jump thay he is not a NBA player is just a joke.
Don't cry when I point out hyperbolic posts. I'm not following you around- only a limited number of topics and I comment on most.Paranoia is not a good look.
Plus...Gradey is 4th in PPG from his draft class this year and 2 of the guys ahead went #1 & #2. And his 3pt shooting this year has been more focused on above the break or coming off screens. Last year it was focused on C&S corner 3's.
Let's see what the offseason brings. We all should agree that next year, his minutes need to be earned. Internal competition is a good thing.
Internal competition could be bad and drive down his value. If we can sell him in a winning trade, let's say packaged with RJ for a really good starter that also fits well, I would guess we'd go through with that offer. Dick is a big gamble and projecting his defense to be even league average is hard to do. The optimal path is trading him for a good big man prospect and distributing minutes evenly. The draft will be a good opportunity to get a high floor prospect like Fleming. Gradey's ceiling isn't high or core piece level and his skillset is redundant with better prospect right next to him.
