Spo needs to step down if he’s not using his personnel properly. We've all seen how Bam performs when he's the focal point of the offense last game, super efficient with elite defense.
Time to fire Spo.
You’re probably trolling me lol but I personally think Spo is the best coach in the world despite imo maybe his worst coaching job of his career this season. With the way he’s used Bam we’ve made deep playoff runs so it’s hard to really complain but when we see nights like last night where he’s forced to use Bam as a first option and Bam aces the test it obviously is going to leave us wanting for more. There’s another level to his game, a lot of it is roster construction which Bam mentioned in an article today. Starting Ware has relieved him of some responsibility elsewhere and is allowing him to score more
I'm not. I don’t think he’s having a great season coaching, and the personnel choices he’s been making this year are really baffling.
I don't mind Bam being a focal point, as long as it's efficient and leads to wins—if that's the case, then who am I to question it?
I try to give the benefit of the doubt because of how crazy this season has been but I can’t find any excuse for the Terry stuff, not a single one. Like in what world did Terry deserve to lead the team with 40 minutes last night? He is actively sabotaging the season but Spo is also enabling it.
EDIT:
I’ve looked up Bams numbers with both Jimmy and Herro out over the years before:
Bams 1st 2 seasons as a starter: 22-9-7 on 65% shooting
Year 3: 20-10-7 52% shooting
Year 4: 21-11-5 on 50% shooting
Year 5 (last season): 25-13-5 on 59% shooting
This season: 34-12-5 77TS%
Total: 23-10-7 on 58% shooting.
To me that’s too big of a sample size at this point to just be coincidence.
