I like Bullard as a safety and like his versatility but he's not fast enough to be a regular in the nickel. Some packages, sure, but surely Hobbs is an upgrade at slot/NB, right?
Neither signing today is sexy but I do see their usefulness. I'd say we got a little better on the margins today. Positive depth at minimum

The Packers essentially played Bullard in the slot exclusively at the end of the season, even choosing to start guys like Zayne Anderson over him at safety when Evan Williams was out. Ryan Wood has also reported that the plan is to play Hobbs on the perimeter
I loved the Bullard pick but he wasn't very good at either S or Nickel last season.jimmybones wrote:MVP2110 wrote:It's worth noting, the weak spot on the Packers Pass defense last year was the MOF, not the boundary. The Packers might feel perfectly comfortable running back their boundary CBs

Those are two of the deeper positions in this draft so I'm guessing that's the plan.
I'll bite. Who do we think it would be?MVP2110 wrote:Some Packer Twitter people hinting at a pass rush addition

I kinda think it has to be Hendrickson otherwise why would they be so secretive about it?MVP2110 wrote:RRyder823 wrote:I'll bite. Who do we think it would be?MVP2110 wrote:Some Packer Twitter people hinting at a pass rush addition

The only two that make sense would be trading for Hendrickson or signing Ojulari imo
