These days I try to emphasize things like kindness & tolerance over conflict. Not that it isn't still fun to have a healthy debate, but it's just not that important that I be "right" anymore. *shrug*

The biggest transition I’ve noticed from my 20’s to 30’s to 40’s to now 50’s is the level I care about what other people think, and more specifically, what other people think OF ME. I found a great woman when I was 37, one that tolerates me being a jackass every once in a while, and it calmed me the hell down. Now if I run into a situation where I think a person is wrong, I rarely feel the need to tell them. Be wrong. Or maybe I’m wrong. Whatever. Doesn’t matter much.
