Nothing wrong with wishes. But there is zero history to support that conclusion. I hope like hell you are right though.

You will know fairly soon if he has learned anything. KC said AK is going to let Giddey go out and try to get an offer. He feels he messed up with the Williams contract.

I’m not sure that means he learned anything. You can’t use the Williams situation as a lesson on how to negotiate with Giddey. His agent will destroy and laugh at that argument. Williams had done basically nothing and was paid on pure potential.

That could result in paying more than you would have if you didn’t make him seek an outside offer or it could make him take the qualifying offer. Bulls really hold no cards here if keeps playing this way. They are gonna end paying him $25 million plus this offseason or watch him become an unrestricted free agent that can’t be traded.

I would say 5 years/$175 million with a player option on the 5th year is lowest outcome right now.

Turning point to what?

This is the type of excitement FOs who don’t really care about winning at the highest level thrive on.

Just remember, weeks ago your GM said with a straight face you don’t need any superstars to win the NBA title. You just need 9-10 really good players. Don’t forget that is what he’s thinking while watching this.

FWIW, I don’t think he actually thinks that and it’s just some b.s. you say when you don’t have a star and have no idea if/when you’ll get one.

I would think that of every other GM in the NBA. And I think it’s certainly possible with him. But I won’t assume it. He has said too much and done too much consistent with that sentiment to make me disregard it.

I don’t think the guy that traded for Vooch and DeRozan in his first build of the team is actually a “let’s build a deep team with no stars guy.” He thought he was getting stars. My fear is he’ll do it again - trade away the reaccumulated draft capital for another big name this offseason.

There is nothing about AK’s actual history that suggests he thinks an organically-grown non-star team is what he wants.

There is just so much to unpack here. :o

Were you at a Saturday night entomology club showing off your Orthoptera Gryllidae (cricket) collection, or were you just discussing the evolution, diet, mating rituals and habitats of crickets? If so was alcohol served? Or perhaps you went to a baseball diamond at 10:30pm on a windy, 30 degree night and demonstrated to a bunch of South Asians how to whip golf balls underhanded at a dude holding a fraternity paddle standing in front of an end zone pylon with a TV on somewhere in the darkness.

Either way, wow, just wow!.

lol, it was Sunday arvo here in Aussie land Mate!

How is this guy not a significant core member on this board? Coby is literally becoming a damn bully at the SG position. I need him to retire here. He’s doing what I THOUGHT he’d be doing to start the year after losing MIP. Better late than never

Too many hot streaks only for him to regress. People aren't buying into it.

Even though I still believe the Williams contract will be fine in time, I’m glad they are going to let Giddey shop around for some offers.

So is "presentation" what you call a Cricket match or a game?

15 pages, might have to go back to separate post games threads if the team keeps packing the metaphorical RealGM house!

Huh, why? I think he proved enough so far, that we should keep him.. not overpay (over 30M) but keep him
