CMB put up similar stats as Mogbo at 4 years younger and in the best conference in college basketball history as opposed to a mid major. CMB can also create his own offense. Yes, they are a similar size and both good rebounders, defenders, and have good bbiq. The difference is CMB projects significantly better.
All you have to do is watch them play instead of looking at stats to know that CMB is much more polished, and better offensively, compared to Mogbo
My follow up post mentioned he’s def more polished off the dribble and finishing, aswell as just being an obviously higher end talent. I’m just expressing that they do similar things well, how they accomplish those things looks a bit different. Mogbo is more of an athlete, CMB more polished. Mogbo looks a bit more agile, CMB a bit wider and stronger.
The sounds of a 6 6” centre isn’t all that appealing to me if you aren’t an incredible athlete, so how well that translates to the nba will remain to be seen. And while I can see he played in a much better conference, his team was 2-16 in that conference, finishing last overall. Prob a reflection of his teammates, but still an item of note.
I’m personally just done drafting the same type of forwards over and over again. Good length, good defender, can’t shoot, limited off the dribble… and then hoping for the best.
