"Holland is a gifted athlete having pretty much all the athletic tools. He's aggressive and fearless at both ends. Yes, he needs to tighten his handles and improve situational awareness, but he just turned 19. A league average shot is all that stands in the way of being an all-star, and his shot doesn't look hopelessly broken. Holland, who isn't shy of the physical game, will naturally get stronger. He takes defense and rebounding seriously. No one knows what the future holds, but many omens augur well. ;-)"

November you say? Well, better late than never. :D

You also finished with “if this isn’t all fool’s gold”… I went back and read the whole post.

Just out of my curiosity and find you to be a smart poster. What other guys have you been high on? I don’t think I’ve seen you high on many players is why I’m asking. It gets me even more excited for Holland that you’re excited about him.

Pistons future looking nice, I’m excited. Not sure I want a big name or they keep trying the internal thing.

I wouldnt give up anything substantial for Zion. He's fools gold imo. Talented sure, but not worth the risk/reward.

The real story is how things are falling apart in Memphis. If they have a first round exit this playoffs, we could offer Tobias and all of our picks for Jaren Jackson and extend him.

Cade / sasser
Ivey / Beasley
Thompson/ Holland
Jaren Jackson / Klintman
Duren / Stewart

That's my top team in the East.

Why would Memphis take this package for JJJ…yeah, would amazing if they did…I would trade Tobias for almost any Grizzly rotation player, but JJJ has arguably the most value out of all of them.

He really is the perfect fit for what we need, just way too good to be true or even fathomable.

Agreed. Memphis won't look to go back to bottom feeder trading their most prized young asset. If anything, they may trade Morant to put a better team around JJJ, Bane and Aldama.

I don’t even keep receipts for myself, honestly. If I want to look good, I could cite my interest in Dyson Daniels pre-draft, but there have been plenty of misses, too. In a general sense, it’s good thing I’m a Pistons fan, because great defense gets me more amped up than anything. This is the main reason why Ivey irritates me at times — he should be much better defensively than he is. Mother is a college head coach and he has the physical gifts needed.

I like JD but wouldn't lose sleep if he was dealt OkC exposed him.
We really need a do it a 4 like Mobley and more size in the back court

Go after Bam! Miami needs to re-tool and Riley has always been cutthroat. He'll bite on the right deal and we have depth & some overlapping talent.

No way the Heat is letting go of its team caption. Bam loves it there. They may move Herro for high level player tho.

The only reason I say this is because jaren went to Michigan State, if we draw the Knicks and win that series and make it to the 2nd round and Memphis is a first round exit this year, why wouldn't he try to force his way home? Especially if we are also willing to give him the max extension he would be looking for? Plus Tobias and his current contact lineup perfectly. I would be a little hesitant to give up one of Holland or Thompson in the trade, but I'm almost to the point that I would do it.

A guy could dream, but in the end I don't think Memphis lets him go to us, even if we do a Donavon Mitchell type trade. We have a more realistic shot at getting Lauri Markannen. Even if Memphis loses in the first round, I think they would try to retool instead of pulling the trigger (not Ja Morant pun) on a rebuild.

I'm happy with our ball handlers and wings, but the forward spot needs to be upgraded. There are only 6 in the league that fit that bill tho.

1.Sarr- Washington: too young and they aren't giving up on him.

2. Jaren Jackson- Memphis: too valuable. They would want the moon for him.

3. Jabari Smith- Houston: don't think the rockets would deal him, and they would want one of our young pieces in a trade, so no thanks.

4. Porzingus- Boston: he stays hurt, we might be able to get him for the cheap since they got him for nothing and already won a ring but it would be a serious roll of the dice that I don't see paying out for us.

5.Lauri Markannen-Utah: one of our most realistic option in terms of a trade, it's just that you have to make a trade with the devil(aka Danny Angie) and himpe we get to keep our underwear.

6. John Collins-Utah: best option is a sign and trade that involves Tobias, Tech and picks. But he is the most injured behind prozingus.

And no I didn't put wemby in that 6 because I don't do drugs and I hope you don't either.

Contractually, JJJ is in a great position for a trade to Detroit: he'll be UFA after next season and could go for nothing if he wants to.
If they don't want to give him supermax this summer or if he doesn't want to stay there, we have a chance to go after him.

I cannot envision a scenario why Memphis would logically trade away JJJ. More just RealGM pipe dreams.
