Reggie Miller would be proud of your New York Knicks impersonation.

That is what I thought.

This is what you think winning feels like? You think people invest months of time and passion into this team just to bash the coach after a horrible loss? You think we wouldn’t rather end the night the fuc*ing 4 seed? You think we like how it feels knowing that a loss on Thursday buries us in the play in? It keeps fuc*ing happening, it happens the same way almost every time, (catastrophic quarter with the same dumb mistakes and the same players involved.) What does it take for you to get mad about it? What does it take for you to dig deeper and ask why? Winning, winning is what happens when you score more than the other team. This feeling, is far, far, from winning!

Well, you bash the coach after horrible WINS, and average wins, etc, so you’re not part of the problem below

If you look back at our Game Threads of our wins, you’ll see they generally run about 3 pages. But if you look at the losses, they go long, every time. Individual posters can choose which games to post about. So I ask this question:

Does our board get double the post count for bad games because MIN fans prefer to show up when they can post negatively?

Well, you bash the coach after horrible WINS, and average wins, etc, so at least you’re consistent

1. When you have this much talent on a team the expectation is victory. When you lose it makes people angry. Angry people ask why they lost and debate the reasons more frequently.

2. How you win or lose in the regular season is more important than some of you guys want to admit. Last year I was critical of our 4th quarter collapses even while saying we would likely win the chip. If we had corrected that flaw last season or earlier this season, then tonight the game thread would be more excited. Also remember that people tend to talk about the win more in the playoff scoreboard thread.

3. It is not exclusive to Minnesota fans. People like to vent frustration more than celebrating victory. You don’t boast about beating the Pels without Zion because everyone expects it. You do complain about losing to them when they are tanking and you are fighting for your postseason position. Do you honestly think we are wrong to be angry about another massive breakdown? Or is it just that you think we should only share happy thoughts?

Play in here we are. And considering how deep west is, we will not pass easily the play in. Tonight no one in this team should get salary.

I don’t blame anyone for posting about anything. I do wonder though that if fandom raises expectations so every win is just expected but every loss is a catastrophe that demands heads must roll? Maybe consistent winning, which we’ve done all last month, stops being appreciated. Maybe you’re right that this is just human nature.

The other point I would make is that I don’t have perspective on it. I don’t watch many games, and I have a longer view rather than freaking out over every loss. I’m the odd duck who stays at RealGM because I’m interested in GMing, which necessitates thinking longterm, rather than using this site like it’s any other fan site.

Again, when you reach the level that we believe the Wolves have reached, losing to bad teams should be the extreme oddity, not a consistent threat. When you have a 20+ point lead in the fourth it should be safe. It is the trends that turn an unworthy frustrating event into a sickening one. We beat teams in March that we should beat. When we beat an OKC or Cleveland that is when you see us excited and talking about it. If you get a bad haircut it bothers you, but getting a good one from the person who usually cuts it should be the expectation, not the exception.

Finch has been the coach for 4 full seasons. The same problems from year one are present in year 4. How much longer a view do you need?

I also do not appreciate fan posting only when we loose. But I make an exception for tonight as what we have seen was totally unacceptable from players and coaches!

Man, relax, go outside, inspire some fresh air, realize that exist a world right there and enjoy life.

Basketball is just an entertaining where millionaires plays for billionaires while normal people lose their money and stresses themselves.

Lack of "high level" ball IQ consistently dooms this team

I like how Kenny Atkinson defines competevines as playing smart and playing hard. Last season MIN at least was known for playing hard.

Being honest, I expected Minnesota to lose this game (winning out on the season seemed unlikely), but the way that they lost is pretty demoralizing.
