That is just a brief comparison, and that would be the floor.
Anyone we draft will have risk, such as Barnes who can have a high ceiling if he work hard in the off season to improve his skills (eg. footwork, shooting, etc.), but if he doesn't, he is stuck at the same skill set and being the floor.
I hear you. I was being a little bit silly. My main concern is I think the team needs to get someone who can shoot. We already have Barnes and Jakob plus Mogbo as a prospect. From the clips I've seen with Noa it looks like perhaps he has potential there. Like you said he shoots 75% from FT and that is promising. I agree with the anyone drafted will have risks. That's why I can't make up my mind.
I think the team needs more than someone who can shoot.
Carter Bryant shoots 37% from 3, which is why he is higher than Essengue. Neither of them can create their own shot yet, but their quickness should have that potential. Bryant looks like Giannis at SF to me, so I would not be surprised we pick him even at 7.
What makes Bryant like Giannis?
Even going back to watch Carter in some high school tape he rarely can use his dribble to by his man and attack the basket. I think I saw him do it like once or twice total, way more finesse. He wants to shoot the 3 or take a couple dribbles and pull up for a middy.
He gets all his attempts at the rim by cutting, getting put backs, attacking a close out here n there and in transition. Some players get put in a box in college and you can look back at their high school tape to see they have some extra juice that was hidden in certain areas but he played similar to how he was used in college from what I've seen. 3D athletic great size, good in transition and as a cutter. I don't think he has much on ball game
