McCullers looks like he could be “situational”. With Payne and Wright, I don’t see Kolek getting any burn but his defense did improve from the beginning of the season to the end.
Congrats on achieving your doctorate. Lots of work. Must feel good.
Thanks, Wingo. Actually still working. Maybe weeks from done though. I’ll give the official word when it’s turned in.
Agreed. Hukporti was awful on rotations. Looks like they took him in the lab for a bit and he was much better when he re-emerged. He looked damn near ready to back up Mitch before he got hurt. Would have been a nice luxury for the playoffs.

But minutes police said the whole team would be injured at this point in the season????? Now the fake news is saying the complete opposite
I tried saying last year's injuries were an anomaly but they did not want to listen..

They also have a very good understanding of how to counter game plans and aren't afraid of getting creative. All great attributes of a coach to have in a playoff series. Unfortunately Thibs doesn't possess a single one of these characteristics.

playoff josh has been a different animal. fingers crossed that he's in a good rhythm.

I mean last year we beat the Sixers that had Embiid and Maxey while we had Mitch on one foot, no Randle. And then we took the pacers to 7 with just Brunson. I’d say Thibs had us pretty prepared. We were just unfortunate with injuries. This time around everyone is healthy thankfully.
Also one of his former players said that Thibs is the most prepared coach they’ve ever played for. I forgot who it was.

Good point, he knocked down some really big shots against Philly last year.

Not apples to apples comparing last year's team or comparing what Thibs was a decade ago. This year the team nor the coaching staff has showed us any reason to be optimistic against the top tier teams.

funny thing about this point is the roster construction is our key difference from this season and last. same coach. we beat everyone's ass last year and had the league on notice. injuries were the only thing that stopped the train.
not oversimplifying the convo. just saying. it hits different when your center rotation is Hartenstein and mitch. those 48 minutes of excellent thibodeauan big man play were crucial. nice to see OG stepping into some of the randle bully bal role for now.
not picking on KAT. but he just doesn't have it on that end. and i'm not sure what we do about that as constructed.

and IIRC he was lights out his first partial season and playoffs with us. josh has big moments DNA dating back to high school. his nova title run performance was lowkey all-time.

one more layer to this convo. not even on some gotcha troll ****.
OKC and Memphis injury reports been crazy all season. it's once again a much more nuanced conversation than we collectively want to accept.
