I mean, I love his D. His scoring was terrible. He isn't an elite athlete and he is a poor shooter. That doesn't mix well.

Sure. He had a greater share of scoring responsibility and it was 03-04, the nadir of offense in the league of the past half-century or so. And yeah, Lebron had a lot of work to do on his jumper. I don't think equating Castle to Lebron is an effective argument, though, most especially with the differences in physical tools and volume. I don't think anyone sane is expecting Castle to turn into Lebron, of course.
And yes, it's possible he'll improve. But when a guy starts out that badly, on low volume, and doesn't have tier-1 physical tools, skepticism is normal and fair.
