I know we've spoken about this before, but it deserves a refresh. The league is dominated by teams with the 2 7ft guys in the post. I agree that Matas should play at the 3 for us, and we try to find a guy who can go against the Mobley's of the league. The draft is full of guys like that. Matas' game is about quickness, and I am begging for him to not to Lauri-up. I did hear him say that he doesn't want that, so there's hope.
Also the multiple 7 foot guys is simply not true; one team, The Cavs =/= "the league". And if we're being realistic, The Cavs probably won't win the title.
Not sure what you mean here but the two best teams in the league had 2 7 footers in their starting lineup. Cleveland Mobley/Allen and OKC Chet/IHart
That for one, is enough to say, maybe they are on to something.
Its not just get 2 7 footers out there and call it a day. No its 2 mobile 7 footers is the key here.
The thing is, it's a copycat league. Whomever has a new idea and it works and they win the title, you can best believe the rest of the league will follow.
My guess is teams will start moving away from having 6'7 PFs and looking for guys 6'10 6'11 or taller. That to pair with a 7 footer or have interchangeable parts.
As this idea pertains to the Bulls, Matas can and should be the "Wing of the future". Notice I didn't say SG, SF or PF. He is a wing player meaning its fluid. But I do think its best if Matas were paired next to someone bigger than he is. This is exactly what OKC did for Chet.
So while Matas needs to gain weight just so he isnt pushed around by smaller guys, grab a bigger PF/C to pair with Matas and then we would be on to something.

Its funny you mention this part as the Warriors are about to blow another 3-1 lead in a series. Who is hurting the Warriors the most? Its Sengun and Adams. Now they arent using them together, but they are destroying the smaller GS team.
