Didn't say anything about the role players. Even though I like JJJ and he isn't making much money anyway. But I don't want OLD players. KD has been failing with better teammates on other teams already. It won't be any different here. I want them to take a direction that will give me something to look forward to for the long term. With KD, if everything goes right, maybe the Heat are no longer a play in team. But will still get stomped no later than round 2 and maybe even still in round 1. Then in a year or two when he's broken or done Heat will be in the same spot again. Looking for a direction and wondering why the last two seasons were wasted on old guys.

We had 37 year old Tucker and 36 year old Kyle Lowry and got the first seed and made it to the finals. We have good players that need a star glue player. Give them that opportunity for the next few years

Tucker and Lowry replaced Dragic and Iggy on team that had its title hopeful core in Butler, Oladipo, Bam and Herro/Duncan. This current roster still trying to complete its core.

As of right now the core is just Herro, Bam and Wiggins. So far Wiggins has been a flop.

There is question marks that needs to be answered. Can Ware, Jovic or Jaquez or maybe Larrson be a core player? I think that is still to be determined. These guys only had 1 to 2 years of playing time experience.

Wiggins will either stay in Miami or be moved to another team..

Rozier, Duncan Robinson, JJJ, Larrson, two firsts.. and some filler contract.. i believe thats what the Suns will get.. it may be an overpay, but thats nothing new with the Heat to overpay.

Nobody wants Wiggins on that deal. it's another chit contract this front office took.

I called it months before the trade - You've been warned about Wiggins being a unreliable beta of the worst degree. And that's what we got.

When you look back on it now.. it would have been best to let butler stay home and then buy him out this offseason.. what we got in return was not worth taking a contract that has us handicapped in 2026..

Im sure the Heat felt a lot of pressure from the NBA and NBAPA to get a deal done..

we now have to find a way to move Kyle anderson and wiggins contract.. both contracts are bad and affects the 2026 offseason.

All this for davion and a protected first..

Wiggins struggled here but lets not overreact. Very up an down up and down the few months he has been here. I know I know Rozier got everyone scared as hell.

I can never recall between Amico and Amick which one is almost entirely a blowhard that is to be completely ignored and which is a regular reporter.

Come on man, how many more times we're going to be deluding ourselves. We're not getting him, we don't have the assets, he has no reason to want to come here, and to top it off he's a terrible fit on a roster with 1 legit shooter.

Just sharing what I see involving the Heat, you figure fit out after lol. You don’t pass up on a player of Giannis level over fit or because “He’s not a Heat guy” like we like to say at times

Mentioned Jalen in the fantasy trade thread.

Whats the difference in value (draft pick wise) between him and Tyler?

In favor of the Heat? I’m not sure any difference considering Green is 2 years younger and was a key piece on the 2 seed in the West

Remember ESPN and the Anti-Riley crowd myth agenda is "no one wants to play for the Heat"

I could see a trade that looks something like Jalen Green for Jaylen Brown.

Reunites Brown with Udoka, who understands Udoka’s coaching style. Udoka is still trying to build his rockets team his way.

Brown and Tatum has yet to co exist.. they both have terrible handles. Boston needs a guard that can attack the basket. Something brown is very average at.. green is more explosive to the rim.

Draft picks and contract fillers will have to get involved but in my opinion it works for both

I know he’s your boy and I’m not in any rush to trade him, but Giannis is a player I’d trade Bam for.

Ware
Giannis
Jovic
Herro
Mitchell

I think Herro realistically would go for 3-4 FRPs right now (depending on quality of the picks).
He's on a great contract for 2 more years and is coming off an allstar season. I'd say similiar to what the Hawks paid for Dejounte Murray.

Jalen like 1 FRP, didn't really show anything so far, below everage scoring efficiency and mediocre playmaking, not a good defender either.

If there ever was a time to sell high on Herro it is now, he's probably at the peak of his value.

But it's obvious at this point, this FO won't move him. Even if it is Giannis, Bam makes more sense to move then, because you still need Herro's shooting/playmaking.

Return to Miami Heat
