My hope (and strong belief) is that Giannis won't choose to go to Houston anyways, which would set up KD as an enticing plan B alternative option for a trade. Then we could pull some young players and at least our 25' PHX 1st ( 10th pick) for KD.
Personally, I really don't care if we'd have to take back J Green in the deal because he'd still represent a trade asset that we could flip elsewhere for other pieces/ picks. And with the 10th pick, we could keep it ........................
OR do what I'd personally prefer in trading back with another team like Brooklyn or Orlando for other pieces and additional picks too. Giving us more swings on potential big end talent and/ or cost controlled depth pieces. Really, give me a trade back outcome of either:
BrooklynThe 10th pick for the 19th pick, 26th pick. 27th pick. Giving us the 19,26, 27, 29, and 52nd picks to use in this draft to address multiple positions!!
OR
OrlandoThe 10th pick for the 16th pick, 25th pick, and 46th pick. Giving us a total of 16, 25, 29, 46, 52. Still loading up on young, athletic, physical cost controlled talent at multiple positions.
I'd look to follow either of those trades up with an Allen to Orlando for Bidatze/ Harris expiring trade.
OR
An Allen CLE 29' 1st to Charlotte for Mark Williams/ 33rd pick/ 26' 2nd via (DEN or GS).
Then follow that up with an O'neale/ Richards trade to Washington for Smart/ CHI 26' 2nd.
