I mean the no state income tax thing isn't really far fetched. We've had many stories over the years about him being let's say frugal and even when he signed his first extension had his accountant tell him whether he'd make more with a supermax from Milwaukee or a max from a team with no state income tax.jmuelly wrote:aboveAverage wrote:jmuelly wrote:Until any of these rumors cite sources beyond speculation, or belief it's just click bait for me. The media for years has tried to force Giannis out of Milwaukee, no surprise. I understand now more than ever the timing and direction suggests anything is possible. Until we hear he really does want out, I don't foresee any scenario we trade him.
This is where I’m at. I just don’t believe any of these click bait stories. They come around every time Giannis has a decision to make. I’m now seeing articles about Giannis being open to playing for teams in states with no state income tax. This was a story being circulated last time he was unclear about signing an extension. I just think that some guys are trying to generate headlines and clicks and have no real insight.
No state income tax and who are the teams being mentioned in trade scenarios?
Houston, San Antonio, Dallas possibly.
Funny how 3 rumors teams fit that media narrative, but not 1 legitimate source providing firsthand or reliable content. When they use words like speculation or believe, I don't take it serious either.
I've said it on the general board and ill say it here but if Giannis asks out and gives a list of teams they'll either be teams with no state income tax or low cost of living areas. That man has no desire to sign up to pay LA or NY taxes(/cost of living)
That said i don't think he's asking out so points moot
