Philly has a future superstar on their hands who'd I'd argue should be prioritized over Embiid.

Sounds crazy to say right now but I remember saying the same thing about Steph right before they traded Ellis. Not to mention Maxey isn't a slouch either. That backcourt will be lethal for years to come if surrounded with the right pieces.

From the outside looking in who seems to have the higher ceiling between Maxey and Mccain?

This is a hard one because Maxey in my opinion reminds me a bit of Fox with flashes of Colin Sexton. McCain reminds me a lot of Steph Curry with some flashes of Derrick White.

From what I see at this point from both players, I'd have to say McCain has more superstar potential. I'd go as far to say that at the rate McCain is going, he's is easily the closest Steph Curry clone that I've witnessed in terms of playstyle and efficiency. His jumpshot being as great as it is this early and his offball movement combined is enough for me to say that it's McCain.

Gun to my head, McCain is the higher ceiling without a doubt. But the fact that I have to say gun to my head says a lot about Maxey himself which is why I will say that 76ers fans shouldn't have one worry in their mind about the future. Both Maxey and McCain will be lighting it up for years to come.

Morey should be absolutely FIRED if he doesn't clean house and build around these 2.

EDIT:

Side note outside of the playstyle. I definitely see the 76ers as the next team that all the kids will flock to being fans of. McCain and Maxey are both young, a lot of aura and very very likeable. McCain is HUGE on TikTok which helps so to see a social media star go into the league and do damage isn't normal. TikTok wasn't as big as it is today when JuJu did it with the Steelers. It will probably be many more in the future but I think McCain will be the face of the social media superstar NBA players.

Thanks . That's a lot of praise for McCain. McCain already looks to be a more fluid on the ball player than Maxey . I'm not a fan of small guards so Maxey had to win me over the same way as McCain is currently doing.

To my knowledge Maxey is the same height as Steph. I think his body type makes him look smaller some reason however. Plenty of 6'2 guys in the league who had success however such as Tony Parker and Jalen Brunson. Maxey already has a good feel for the game and can score at every level. I guess my only concern going forward with the Maxey, McCain backcourt is the defense. Both are young and can still learn to get better at playing defense but both aren't the best especially with so many bigger guards these days. At least in the Curry situation, he had good defenders around him which is why some people make the argument of that any stat point to Steph being a good defender in his earlier years could be misconstrued due to many of those stats not giving the full story that it's really his team. In the Sixers scenario, McCain would be the SG but he's not the best defender so he'd have to definitely get better. Obviously you surround the 2 guards with defenders at every other position to compensate for their deficiencies but that's a problem to worry about when they are competing for a ring later.

Nice breakdown of his finishing in that video. Super exciting to see how much room there is to improve once he’s had time to develop his game more.

Him & Maxey are really complementary opposites because McCain leverages his shooting to generate rim pressure but Maxey does the opposite, leveraging his athleticism/finishing to generate open 3s. It’s a good way to create imbalance because the gravity each player generates compliments the play style of the other.

Maybe once mainstream media takes notice. But I think most of Filipinos are just active on facebook and I dont expect them to come here.

Probably kids. I've seen boys paint their nails kinda like how they used to dye their hair to a team color or wear team colored clothes.

Tons of men under 30 wear it, especially under 25, including the straight men (I teach at a University). But I think it is a MASSIVE demographic beyond this that he appeals to.
