Re: Giannis Thread
The only trade I’m even remotely considering is with Dallas. Giannis wants a title so bad he can go play with Kyrie and AD and be in the west. But if we’re not talking Flagg, Lively, Prosper, whatever salary fillers and at least 1 more future 1st, swaps and future 2nds, I’m not even entertaining it.

I deleted my post. I am not posting any Giannis trade scenarios unless he says He want out. A life without Giannis as a Buck, isn't one I don't want to think about.

Re: Giannis Thread
Made the mistake of commenting on the Cavs subreddit post about the Mobley for Giannis trade. I'm really not sure why I did it, but mentioned that Horst would hang up the phone immediately and I'm getting downvoted lol. The response was "stars get traded for far worse"...sure, top 15-20 players in their prime get traded all the time for far worse. What am I doing to myself?

There are spurs fans that think Vassell, Keldon Johnson and 14 is a fair trade for Giannis and adding in Castle or 2 is unfathomable. Ppl are dumb.

Fans usually over value their own players. Some here under value Giannis though.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Giannis being Buck for life is my preference. That said I'm a realist.
Have a hard time seeing how this team obtains a #2 or #3 star in the next two years unless Horst suddenly learns how to identify late first and second round talent and/or catches lightning in a bottle with a young prospect.
In the meantime the plan we have to sell him is "hey, play 35-38 minutes a game all out as point-forward" which is going to wear down his knees quickly.
The Dame trade and then subsequent injury ruined the ability for Giannis to have a contending 2nd act here IMO

Normally I am pretty unconcerned about any Giannis leaving stories, predictions, what have you. But looking at the possibility that a 35 year old Dame misses all of next year and opts into his 36 year old season and at first glance is cooked blows two years up. Achilles seem to be the worst injury and late in career achilles worse still. I don't think Giannis takes a chance on two lost years, and I wouldn't blame him.

I’m not even sure it’s really Bucks fans under valuing Giannis. I think it’s more Bucks fans drinking the koolaid and preparing themselves for ultimate disappointment and then looking for a silver lining in the mess. These trades are all awful and nowhere close to the value of Giannis as the player and locked into his contract. If it’s not fleecing Dallas for a haul that includes the #1 pick, it should be a non starter.

Re: Giannis Thread
Giannis - “Jon, I’d like to request a trade.”
Horst - “Sorry Giannis but I can’t sign off on your request. Trading you for 50 cents on the dollar will devastate the franchise and I’m just not willing to do that. I’m hoping that you’ll see things differently over the next year or so. If you don’t, we can revisit the conversation.”
Seems pretty simple to me.

Giannis: Fair enough. In a year or 2, i will make it very clear I will only sign with X team and you will get 25 cents on the dollar. I will also take my health more seriously and not put myself at risk for a play-in team. We can revisit this conversation next month if you see it differently.

Re: Giannis Thread
Everywhere I look, people have to throw out their Giannis hot takes. It feels like everyone is putting on a full court press to get him out while also devaluing his market and what Milwaukee gets back. "Big swing for Cleveland." Eat a dick, Mannix. These perverts want Milwaukee basketball to die.

The fact that he even frames a straight swap as "who says no?" is so incredibly laughable and insulting.

Re: Giannis Thread
What a disgusting tweet. It should be insulting to Giannis to see these kind of posts by the national pundits. I hope he and the Bucks don’t cave. Win another few rings here and make them look like fools.

Re: Giannis Thread
Just to play devil's advocate, where does Mobley rank on the list of bandied about assets? 2nd? 3rd at worst?

That’s just a risk that Horst has to be willing to take. Especially if the GMs are even half as frugal as the media and fan bases are convincing themselves. 25 cents on the dollar 2yrs from now is about 50 cents on the dollar now. I’ll take the 2 Giannis years in Milwaukee to try and convince him to sign a mega extension as 25 cents in this scenario.

Re: Giannis Thread
Mobley's a mid asset for us cuz he's a role player. One of the best role players for one of the best core players, is illogical as a foundation even. You have to start w/ (potential) core players. I'd take Harper in isolation over Mobley for that reason & that's obviously not all we'd get there either.
Cavs need to include Garland to even get in the convo. Still, should need 2 of top 4: Mitchell, Garland, Allen, Mobley. They don't have good prospects or picks. Garland leaves us w/ a far worse core player than before, Mobley a role player instead of superstar, w/ a poor supporting cast.

Re: Giannis Thread
Garland + Mobley at least starts a convo, close salary two good young players. But there would still need to be picks and I doubt Cle has anything to trade after giving them all up for Mitchell. I guess maybe if htey have some far out ones that can be fully unprotected.

No FRP this year, swaps in '26 and '28 involving multiple teams, so not good. '30 is the first one they control.
